New Call of Duty confirmed for Q4 2013, 'will raise the bar even higher'

"The Call of Duty franchise continues to set the bar for innovation and we expect a new Call of Duty game in development for 2013 to raise that bar even higher," said CFO Dennis Durkin during a financials conference call today.

"There is increased volatility this year due to the ongoing console transition, which makes predicting the future more challenging than during normal uses in the cycle. For Call of Duty, consistent with our past practices, we are planning for the main line release in Q4 to be down versus 2012," it added.

Next Call of Duty Reportedly Called ‘Ghosts’

Welcome to the future.

Activision’s next Call of Duty title is reportedly called Call of Duty: Ghosts. The rumor comes via YouTube user Drift0r who claims that a “very legitimate” source provided him with information regarding the game’s announcement, modes and much more.

 

According to Drift0r, Ghosts is straying away from the Modern Warfare brand but will similarly use present-day weaponry. The game is set in the future but a plot point will force characters to use weapons from the past. Ghosts will change player movement, allowing them to dash and slide while shooting, peek around corners and roll side-to-side while prone.

Νομίζω είχαν πει ότι θα κυκλοφορήσει στις Next-Gen Consoles οπότε ΛΟΓΙΚΑ θα έχει νέα Engine..

εγώ πάντως από το βίντεο άλλο κατάλαβα

 

τους έχω δλδ ικανούς να βάλουν high(er) resolution textures και "ιδού η νέα game engine"

 

μακάρι να βγει κάτι πραγματικά καλό, προσωπικά σταμάτησα στο cod4 (που ακόμη το έχω installed, τιμής ένεκεν )

Νομίζω είχαν πει ότι θα κυκλοφορήσει στις Next-Gen Consoles οπότε ΛΟΓΙΚΑ θα έχει νέα Engine..

Θα κυκλοφορήσει και στις next-gen (διπλό άρμεγμα).

Και κάτι είχε ακουστεί για UΕ4..

At the Game Developers Conference today, Activision technical director Jorge Jimenez has revealed their photorealistic next-gen engine. The character panel for the next-gen engine were created in a year of work. Activision’s new engine step closer to photo-reality, with realistic hair, teeth, and eyebrows. The new engine will show the importance of character with greater emotional impact.

There have been some rumors lately saying the next Call of Duty will be on next-gen (PS4) only. Could this be a new beginning for Call of Duty series?

Κοίτα, και με το MW3 μας έλεγαν πως θα χρησιμοποιεί νέα μηχανή, η οποία ηταν η προηγούμενη μοντιφαρισμένη..

Μακάρι να χρησιμοποιήσουν νέα from scratch και όχι idTech3 μοντιφαρισμένη επί 10+ χρόνια.

Από τις εικόνες βλέπω κάτι τελείως διαφορετικό - NextGen, άρα σίγουρα αυτή τη φορά είναι νέα μηχανή από το 0.

Δεν μπορούν να κάνουν και αλλιώς διότι θα βγει και στις νέες κονσόλες και δεν μπορεί να έχει τα 800*600 textures.
