Google mail shortcuts

There is a handy feature of Gmail called keyboard shortcuts. You can use these shortcuts to do most of the common tasks related to mail - all using Google mail's web interface. To enable these shortcuts do this:

 

Log into Gmail, Click Settings on the top right hand side of your Gmail interface.

Under Keyboard shortcuts select: Keyboard shortcuts on.

 

Now u are free to use these shortcuts:

 

c - Compose a new message

 

j - Move to newer conversation

 

k - Move to older conversation

 

n -Next message

 

p - Previous message

 

o - Opens your conversation

 

u - Return to Inbox

 

r - Reply

 

a - Reply all

 

f - Forward message

 

<Esc> - Escape from input field

 

 

There are several other keys besides the ones above. Click help to get

at the full list. Very time saving feature of google mail
