Error: "LU1856"

 

Situation:

When you run LiveUpdate, you see an error message that begins with "LU1856."

 

Solution:

This can happen when:

 

Some entries are missing from the LiveUpdate file, Settings.LiveUpdate file.

There are damaged files in the \LiveUpdate\Downloads folder

 

 

There is no way to test to see which of the above is the problem. To fix this, you need to delete all copies of the Settings.LiveUpdate file. This may include files that have names such as 1.Settings.LiveUpdate, 2.Settings.LiveUpdate, and so on. If that does not fix the problem, you then must delete the contents of the \LiveUpdate\Downloads folder.
