Τα παιχνίδια της Microsoft κατακτούν τα charts του PlayStation Store, με το Indiana Jones and the Great Circle και το Forza Horizon 5 να βρίσκονται στην κορυφή των προπαραγγελιών στις ΗΠΑ.

Η Bethesda, που ανήκει στη Microsoft, ανακοίνωσε νωρίτερα αυτή την εβδομάδα ότι το Indiana Jones and the Great Circle θα κάνει το ντεμπούτο του στο PS5 στις 17 Απριλίου, με την premium έκδοση να προσφέρει πρόσβαση στο παιχνίδι δύο ημέρες νωρίτερα, ξεκινώντας από τις 15 Απριλίου. Over the weekend, Spencer sat down for a lengthy interview with XboxEra in which he discussed his favorite games, talked about what various Xbox studios are working on, and dished on the industry at large. And he was also honest about Xbox no longer being part of any console war, as it shifts to selling Xbox games on other consoles, like PlayStation.

“I would love to make all of the money for all of the games that we ship, right? Like, obviously we make more on our own platform,” said Spencer. “It’s one of the reasons that investing in our own platform is important. But there are people, whether it’s their libraries on a PlayStation or Nintendo, whether it’s they like the controller better, they just like the games that are there.”

“I’m not trying to move them all over to Xbox anymore,” added Spencer.

3) Microtransactions που θα πουλάνε σε όλους τους διαθέσιμους καταναλωτές σε όλες τις πλατφόρμες. Φανταστείτε να έκανε exclusive το Call of Duty, με κόστη παραγωγής 400 εκ, και με τζίρους 1 δις στο Playstation. Θα έγραφε τεράστιες ζημιές με το να αποκλείσει το Call of Duty από την μερίδα των καταναλωτών του PS5, ενώ τα data δείχνουν ότι δεν θα άφηναν αυτοί οι χρήστες το PS5 για να πάνε σε XBOX. Η Microsot απλά θα έχανε λεφτά χωρίς λόγο.

4) Το πάρτι δεν σταματάει μόνο εδώ. Η καμπάνια "This is an XBOX" σημαίνει ότι η Microsoft θέλει να έχει διαθέσιμα τα προϊόντα της σε ΚΑΘΕ πλατφόρμα, για αυτό θα βγάλει την επόμενη κονσόλα που θα είναι hybrid model pc/console, όπου θα παίζεις παιχνίδια της Sony μέσω του steam, ενώ θα έχεις και το Game Pass. Για αυτό η Microsoft θα βγάλει και φορητή κονσόλα, ενώ παράλληλα θα φτιάξει το δικό της store σε mobile συσκευές, ενώ παράλληλα θα αναπτύξει το cloud gaming παντού. Ο σκοπός είναι να έχεις πρόσβαση στο Game Pass σε κονσόλες, φορητά, υπολογιστές, κινητά μέχρι tv box.

34 παιχνίδια με ένα δεκάρικο τον μήνα, τσαμπέ. Not a bad deal. Οι άλλοι θα σκάνε 70αρια, ενώ εμείς οι pc gamers θα παίζουμε δωρέαν με ένα δεκάρικο ακριβώς το ίδιο προϊον που προσφέρει την ίδια εμπειρία...Ούτε στου Παππά μην μιλάτε για τέτοια deals...

Για ποιο ηλίθιο λόγο να αγοράσω ένα SINGLE player τίτλο εν έτη 2025, ενώ έχω την δυνατότητα να το νοικιάσω; Απλά θα παίξω 10/20/30, θα τερματίσω το main story και κανά side quest, και θα πάει στο χρονοντούλαπο της ιστορίας. Μετά θα προχωρήσω στον επόμενο τίτλο. Στην εποχή του ατελείωτου content, με τόσα παιχνίδια να γεμίζουν το backlog, δεν υπάρχει replaybility στους single player τίτλους. Τα μόνα παιχνίδια που συμφέρει να αγοράσεις είναι τα Gaas τύπου COD, FIFA, Diablo κλπ όπου παρέχουν συνεχόμενο content.

Το PC μπορεί να κοστίσει λίγο ακριβότερα, αλλά long term σου βγαίνει φθηνότερα γιατί έχεις το privilege να κάνεις πολύ φθηνότερες αγορές μέσα από προσφορές και κλειδάκα και συνδρομές. Στο PC έχω steam sales, eneba, Game Pass και Ubisoft Plus και Geforce Now. Εσύ δεν έχεις τίποτα στην κονσόλα. Σου φέρνω και ένα χαρακτηριστικό παράδειγμα: τα 33 παιχνίδια που ανέφερα παραπάνω θα πρέπει να πληρώσεις πάνω από 1.000 ευρώ σε full price ΜΕΣΑ ΣΤΗΝ ΧΡΟΝΙΑ για να τα παίξεις στην κονσόλα, ενώ εγώ θα τα παίξω τσαμπέ στο Game Pass. Με το "καλημέρα" έχεις βγάλει το budget για το build που έκανες ώστε να έχει τούμπανο gaming PC μέσα σε ένα χρόνο. Για να μην πιάσουμε καν τις προηγμένες upscaling τεχνολογίες, όπου το DLSS  είναι κλάσης ανώτερο από κάτι PSSR που θυμίζουν ονόματα σοβιέτας.

Το PC είναι το πραγματικό master race, που το φωνάζαμε χρόνια και μας λέγατε γραφικούς. Τώρα ήρθε η ώρα της δικαίωσης, αφού όλα τα παιχνίδια έχουν έρθει σε αυτό, ενώ τα νούμερα δείχνουν ότι οι νέες γενιές προτιμάνε το pc gaming από τις κονσόλες. Ακόμα και οι επόμενες κονσόλες(δες XBOX) θα είναι hybrid model, δηλαδή optimized pc για το σαλόνι, με όλα τα stores μέσα(steam, epic store, ubisoft plus, game pass).
