a) Mail && News && Irc!

The data that i send from my PC passes through my ISP first and then goes where it have to go.

So in a figure is like this: A => ISP => B

 

So the Admin at the ISP if we wants to (in my case we is a known dude and he does) he can watch my connection every time i log on to the ISP and then listen to it lets say by usign a sniffer who configured it to listen at my account.

 

My Question is: What can i do (and i will) so all my (mail, news, irc chit-chat) can't be eavesdropping by him!

As i think of it now the DATA have no other way but firstly pass from the isp, that's inevitable!

 

But when i was eating i thought for a moment the following cool scenario! )

 

Why dont i use a strongly encryption program that will encrypt all my mails, irc and news posts with a let's say military algorith (blowfish, RSA 1024, whatever) and then forge that text to a configured proxy server(another machine) who would be capable of decrypting the encrypted text and then from his turn forge my at that time unencrypted plain data to mail, irc and news????

 

So by using this method the dude (dont ask who and why, let's say a curious friend of mine) will have no way of seeing what i plain typed, instead he would just see an encrypted stream of bytes and he could not be able to decrypt it! At least i want to beleive he can't!

 

I think that is a pretty smart thing to avoid eavesdropping, isnt it?

 

if it actually is a smart way, HOW can i practically perform it?!?! I think i will be needing a shell accoutn at some unix server and a strong encryption algorithm tool. Where can i find each of them?!?!
