“Nothing against them, but they don’t know what’s going on inside the car,” said Norris when The Race asked him about criticisms of the drivers who caused the incidents.

“We have a soft [tyre] on that’s 65C and I can’t describe how little grip there is on track.

“65C is not a bad temperature but the tyre doesn’t work, and on this surface with this track temp, I can’t describe how the grip is. That’s why you see everyone going straight on at Turn 1 and locking up.

“It’s 65C and a soft tyre and it provides literally no grip, so you have to brake so early, which causes chaos and incidents. But if the tyres felt like they gave us some grip, you’d be able to see a good race without chaos and some clumsiness and things like that.

“It’s just difficult. I wouldn’t say it’s just clumsy from everyone and you’re racing and there’s no grip, simple as that.

Ferrari reveal they have petitioned for a right of review over Sainz’s penalty in Australia

“We did a petition for a review of the case – we sent it to the FIA,” Vasseur confirmed on Thursday. “As we are discussing with the FIA… I don’t want to discuss any details of this discussion. The only thing is [the] Gasly/Ocon [collision], for sure we had also Sargeant/De Vries [colliding] into Turn 1, and the reaction of the stewards was not the same.”

Pushed on the next steps, he said: “The process is that first they will have a look on our petition to see if they can re-open the case, then we’ll have a second hearing a bit later with the same stewards for the next meeting, about the decision itself.”

“What we can expect is at least to have an open discussion with them, also for the good of the sport to avoid to have these kind of decisions when you have three cases on the same corner and not the same decision.”

As per Article 14 of the FIA’s International Sporting Code, competitors can request a right of review up to 14 days after a ruling from the stewards if “a significant and relevant new element is discovered which was unavailable to the parties seeking the review at the time of the decision concerned”.

Ακόμα δεν ξεκίνησε η σαιζόν και έχουμε τρύπα σχεδόν ένα μήνα στο πρόγραμμα 😒 ούτε Ελληνικά μυαλά δεν θα έκαναν τέτοια μαλ@κ@α.

Καλύτερα. Αν είναι να βλέπουμε το αναψυκτικό να ρυθμίζει την ταχύτητα του από μισό ως 2 sec στο γύρο από τον επόμενο κατασκευαστή να λείπει το βύσσινο.

Έχω την εντύπωση ότι η θέαση της F1 δεν είναι υποχρεωτική 😏

Μπορεί η θέαση να μην είναι υποχρεωτική φίλε μου αλλά η ανταγωνιστικότητα είναι. Αν δεν κάνω λάθος σε αυτό το άθλημα ο σκοπός είναι να είσαι πρώτος μετά από αγωνιστικές μάχες. Εκτός αν θες ξανά εποχές που ένα μονοθέσιο είναι έναν αγωνιστικό αιώνα μπροστά από τον επόμενο κατασκευαστή. Τέτοιο πρωτάθλημα είναι για να σε βοηθάει το μεσημέρι να κοιμηθείς. Καλύτερα moto gp να βλέπουμε ή Nascar. Μεγαλύτερο σασπένς έχει. Ένα μέρος της αδρεναλίνης πρέπει να μεταφέρεται στον τηλεθεατή να νοιώσει και αυτός κάτι από δράση.
