Midway is a tactical/action game about the sea battles of the Pacific Theater of WW2, in real time 3D amd mission and episode based. The game presents how sea warfare changed from the dreadnaughts to the precursor of strike forces of modern times. Successful tactics change from episode to episode.

 

 

May 07, 2004 - British videogame publisher SCi Games has announced today its brand new World War II action combat title, Midway. Slated for release in the summer of 2005 (in Europe at least) and expected to ship for the PC, PlayStation 2, and Xbox, Midway will retell the greatest naval battle of all time.

 

 

Offering players air, sea, and underwater combat opportunities, Midway will give gamers direct control of aircraft carriers, battleships, submarines, and planes that can then be switched between on the fly. Dogfights and torpedo battles are expected to make up a large percentage of the action, with a number of single player missions for both the Japanese and American sides available for quick play and career. Additionally, Midway will also feature 16-player broadband only head-to-head support and highly detailed machine models.
