Δεν έχω usb scanner, αλλά parallel port. Σε εμένα χρειάζονταν να έχω φορτώσει το scsi emulation module, ώστε το σύστημα να βλέπει το scanner ότι είναι scsi.

Ηι necronio, για δες με το lsmod αν είναι φορτωμένο το module «scanner».

oxi den einai, kai den iparxei. epsaxa k ston kernel gia na ton kano recompile me afto to module alla den to brika pou8ena! eixe 2-3 epiloges gia usb scanners ta opia omos einai gia sigkekrimena modela (k fisika oxi afto pou 8elo ego :/ )

Make xconfig -> USB Support -> USB Scanner support (και ας λέει ότι είναι obsolete, αν δεν έχεις κάνει compile τα sane-backends με libusb support το χρειάζεσαι)

Bad news.... Στη σελίδα του sane δεν έχει μεν αυτό το μοντέλο scanner, αλλά λέει ότι δεν υποστηρίζεται κανένας scanner αυτής της εταιρίας. Από 'κει και πέρα, το μόνο που μπορείς να κάνεις είναι ένα downgrade το sane σε 1.0.5 και να το patchάρεις για να υποστηρίζει το E3 chipset. Το patch για τον πυρήνα δεν το χρειάζεσαι, αφού χρησιμοποιείς libusb για να προσπελάσεις το scanner.
