Macrovision σε ένα Samsung DVD player

Χαίρετε... ελπίζω να μήν είναι εκτός θέματος αυτό το ερώτημα.

 

Έχω ένα Samsung DVD E-232 και, επειδή ο ελεγκτής της τηλεόρασης που οδηγεί τις εισόδους RCA/SVIDEO/SCART μου έχει καεί, το περνάω μέσα από video. Οπότε φυσικά ενεργοποιείται το #&^%#macrovision (φευ! ό,τι θέλω να αντιγράψω το κάνω στο πισί μου, όχι σε VHS!). Οπότε και η εύλογη ερώτηση: ξέρει κανείς πώς να το απενεργοποιήσω; Το έχω κάνει ήδη region-free, αλλά δεν έχω βρει κάτι γι αυτό που να δουλεύει...

1. Press the DVD button on the remote control

2. Press the Repeat A-B button on the remote control

3. Press the 7 button on the remote control

4. Press the 6 button on the remote control

5. Press the 8 button on the remote control

6. Press the 8 button on the remote control

7. Press the 4 button on the remote control

8. Press the 1 button on the remote control for region 1, the 2 button for region 2, and so on, or press the 9 button for multi-region playback

9. Press the Open/Close button on your DVD player

10. Press the Open/Close button on your DVD player

11. Power off your DVD player

Power on player (no disc in machine)

 

1. Press the Repeat button on your remote control

NB: Do not confuse this with the Repeat A-B button

2. If your player was purchased in Region 1:

Press the buttons 2, 9, 3, 3 and 4 on your remote control, in order one at a time

 

If it was purchased in Region 2:

Press the buttons 5, 7, 5, 3 and 8 on your remote control, in order one at a time

 

For Region 3 players:

Press the buttons 5, 6, 7, 3 and 2 on your remote control, in order one at a time

 

For Region 4 players:

Press the buttons 7, 6, 8, 8 and 4 on your remote control, in order one at a time

 

For Region 5 players:

Press the buttons 5, 3, 8, 1 and 4 on your remote control, in order one at a time

 

For Region 6 players:

Press the buttons 2, 4, 4, 6 and 2 on your remote control, in order one at a time

 

 

3. The numbers 02 or similar will be displayed on the top left of your onscreen display

4. Press the 1 button on your remote control for region 1, 2 for region 2, and so on, or 9 for multi-region playback

NB: The above step may be time sensitive and need to be performed quickly

5. After 15 seconds have elapsed, power off your player and then power on your player

3. Ξέρεις πού μπορώ να βρώ κάτι τέτοιο; Είδα ένα μετατροπέα στην πραξιτέλους αλλά εκτός από αντάπτορας SCART->VHS ήταν και ασύρματη συσκευή, οπότε υποθέτω η απώλεια ποιότητας θα είναι παραπάνω από ανεκτή. Έχεις κανένα μαγαζί στο μυαλό σου -ή καμμιά τιμή;;

Videotape (analog) copying is prevented with a Macrovision 7.0 or similar circuit in every player. Macrovision may show up as stripes of color, distortion, rolling, black & white picture, and dark/light cycling. Macrovision creates problems for most TV/VCR combos (see 3.2.1) and some high-end equipment such as line doublers and video projectors.

 

The general term for a system that prevents taping is APS (Analog Protection System), also sometimes called copyguard. Computer video cards with composite or s-video (Y/C) output must also use APS. Macrovision changes the composite video and s-video output in two ways: the Colorstripe technique creates a rapidly modulated colorburst signal, and the AGC technique inserts pulses in the vertical blanking signal. This confuses the synchronization and automatic-recording-level circuitry in 95% of consumer VCRs. Unfortunately, it can degrade the picture, especially with old or nonstandard equipment. Macrovision was not present on analog component video output of early players, but is now required on component output (AGC only, since there is no burst in a component signal).

 

The discs themselves contain "trigger bits" telling the player whether or not to enable Macrovision AGC, with the optional addition of 2-line or 4-line Colorstripe. The triggers occur about twice a second, which allows fine control over what part of the video is protected. The producer of the disc decides what amount of copy protection to enable and then pays Macrovision royalties accordingly (several cents per disc). Just as with videotapes, some DVDs are Macrovision-protected and some aren't. Inexpensive devices can defeat Macrovision, although only a few work against the more recent Colorstripe feature. These devices go under names such as Video Clarifier, Image Stabilizer, Color Corrector, and CopyMaster. Or you can build your own. Some DVD players can be modified to turn off Macrovision output (see 6.4.2). Professional time-base correctors (TBCs) that regenerate line 21 also remove Macrovision. APS affects only video, not audio.

το macrovision ειναι μια scrumbling μέθοδος προστασιας αντιγραφής ταινιών σε βιντεοκασέτα (απο οποιοδήποτε αλλο μέσο).

 

εκμεταλλεύεται το AGC του βιντεο που αντιγράφει (η οπως στο φιλο μας εδω απλα περνάει μεσα απο) για να "χαλαει" την εικονα. Το εχεις δει ΟΠΟΣΔΗΠΟΤΕ σε αντιγραμμένες κασέτες της Ντίσνεϊ. Μοιάζει σαν η εικονα να τρεμοπαίζει πανω κατω και να αυξομειώνεται τρελά η φωτεινότητα της.

 

το AGC σημαίνει Automatic Gain Controler και είναι ενα κυκλωμα που κανονικα ρυθμιζει την φωτεινότητα του σήματος που γραφει το βιντεο μετρώντας την διαφορά τάσης στο πανω και το κατω τμήμα της εικόνας βαση του κάθετου ρυθμου ανανέωσης. Το macrovision προβαλει στα μη ορατά περιθώρια της εικόνας λευκά και μαύρα περιθώρια κάθε λίγο ωστε το AGC να νομίζει οτι η εικόνα ειναι ειτε πολυ φωτεινή ειται πολυ σκοτεινή. Ετσι το AGC ανεβοκατεβάζει την φωτεινότητα οπως κρίνει καταληλα. Φυσικα η πραγματικη (ορατη) εικονα εχει μια σταθερη φωτεινότητα με αποτελεσμα να επηρεάζεται
