The two enemies followed them. Reaching the floor, GameStar had to jump from a wall onto the ground because there was no other way out. One of the NPC stalkers noticed this and started to shoot at the editors and distract them while the other NPC stalker ran down the stairs again to the first floor to catch the editors and shoot from that position. - In main quests there will be a "scripted" path of actions, Andrew explains: "In one of the missions you have to infiltrate the stalker-base. To simulate a regular camp life we use scripts. However, as soon as you trigger the alarm the combat AI appears and your enemies act from now on independently." - DirectX 9 is to be shown at E3. - Glass of windows does not only burst, but single shards can be shot out, too. Shooting in closed rooms can be dangerous because of ricochets which can hurt the player. Different types of ammunitions have different effects. - Currently one day in the game equals to three hours in real life. - Besides gravitaional anomalies there will be ones with electrostatic discharges and deadly plants (just to name a few of course). - GSC will make sure that if fuel of your vehicle should be empty, the walk to the next vehicle won't last too long. - THQ plans a multiplayer beta test with 50,000 people a few months before release. - Though GSC has still planned Sept. 2004, GameStar estimates the release to be Middle of 2005. Previously expected for May of this year (story), the game no longer seems to carry a specific release date. No reason for the delay is offered, but GSC Game World's PR Manager Oleg Yavorsky gamely spins this announcement, saying they are pleased that THQ has given them more time to develop their upcoming first-person shooter. Πάντως από τα video που έχω δει το παιχνίδι σέέέέέέέέέέέέέέέρνεται και να μου το θυμηθείτε το παιχνίδι θα είναι πασίβαρο. Εξάλλου ο λόγος για την αναβολή είναι ότι θέλουν να κάνουν polishing στην engine. Αυτό τα λέει όλα.

What the site tried to say, is that the game has reached beta stage. The release is still scheduled for "When It's Done", and as THQ has previously stated, this will not occur before Fall 2006. Τωρα εν ετη 2006 ουτε τα γραφικα συγκινουν ποια και δεν ξερω και μετα απο τα Half-Life , Doom3, Quake4, FEAR , τι καινουριο θα μπορεσει να μας προσφερει.

STALKER always was in the state of general design. It's always been a project which was more spoken of than really done." Another source claims that at the end of November THQ made a decision to stop financing the development and to conduct a thorough revision to gain control over the development process. "We don't care what shape the game will ship in anymore, - said one of the THQ bosses to an IGN journalist, - the game must ship in 2006". Source
privateer Δημοσ. 30 Ιανουαρίου 2006 Μέλος Δημοσ. 30 Ιανουαρίου 2006 S.T.A.L.K.E.R. rumors denied C&VG is reporting through an exchange with GSC Gameworld's PR director that the reports on development problems with their long awaited first person shooter S.T.A.L.K.E.R. -Shadow of Chernobyl are unfounded rumors. "What you're talking about is a completely unjustified rumour which appeared on the net just recently," the developer's senior PR manager Oleg V. Yavorsky told us when queried on this latest S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 'news'. Saying that his entire morning's been spent "clarifying the situation to [the] public today", he added "...the whole buzz is nothing but a hoax." Yavorsky also assured us that GSC is "working full throttle on completing the game". Nosferatu also sent us a translation of Oleg Yavorskiy's statement: I have called Grigorovich and, after elaborating on the situation, write that on Friday on another regular meeting it had been decided to transfer some of the designers to the Heroes of Annihilated Empires development team and to dismiss some of those who are no longer required. To be exact: from 40 members of the staff two were transfered to work on graphics in the RTS department and five were dismissed. When I asked Sergey about the reason, he replied that all the graphics in STALKER is almost finished and there are more than enough designers for the Heroes of Annihilated Empires. None of those from the leaders, lead designers, programmers and especially testers weren't fired and it's ridiculous to even think about something like this. That's an approximate re-telling of the telephone conversation. And as for "failing to receive an official comment from GSC" Sergey said to "call me on the cell phone, I'm always available". All the press knows his coordinates, mine too. Now, from myself, sorry, but it's becoming painful: what's the reason for bothering our STALKER so much - you've got your own Russian developers. Look at HOMM5: four years in development already, I looked at the beta yesterday... But somehow there are no caustic remarks about developers not being on time with the project.
