Thank you for playing War of the Ring tm!

 

-INSTALLATION-

 

Minimum System Requirements:

 

- Pentium? III 800 MHz processor or higher

- 256 MB RAM

- 32 MB AGP Video, with hardware T&L

- 300 MB free hard disk space

- Microsoft? Windows? 98SE/ME/2000/XP

- DirectX? 9.0

 

DirectX 9

 

War of the Ring tm requires at least DirectX? 9.0. If you do not have DirectX 9, you can download it directly from Microsoft's website:

Note that if you do not have at least DirectX? 9.0, you will not be able to run the installer for the game.

 

After installation, temporary installation files may be deleted to recover disk space. The default location of these files is c:\Program Files\WOTRDemo. This entire folder may be deleted.

 

-VIDEO ISSUES-

Problems have been encountered running War of the Ring with the ATI? Radeon? 7200 card. These problems will be fixed prior to the release of the full version of the game.

 

After changing screen resolution on a Radeon? 8500 or Radeon? 9200 card you may experience some graphical flickering. If this happens, quit the game and restart and the flickering will stop.

 

If graphical corruption occurs on your current system setup, try installing the latest drivers for your video card.

 

War of the Ring tm contains graphic elements that will tax a low end video card. If performance on your system is low, try turning off some of these graphical elements from inside the main menu's options screen.

 

If you are running War of the Ring tm on a system with a multiple monitor setup, it is recommended that you disable all but your primary monitor before playing the game.
