Project Aces Teasing New Ace Combat Game?

It looks like Project Aces and Namco Bandai could be teasing a new Ace Combat game, if a message on the developer's site under the banner of 'new title' and a fresh trademark application for 'Ace Combat: Infinity' [uncovered on NeoGAF by Gematsu] is any kind of an indication.

 

Namco Bandai applied for the Ace Combat: Infinity trademark yesterday, at the same time the message emerged on Project Ace's site. The message reads: "That day our sky fell, the heavens split to create new skies." Yep, that sounds like some Ace Combat-style babble alright.

 

It seems that the probability of this being a new Ace Combat game is pretty strong, especially since the last instalment in the series was 2011's Ace Combat: Assault Horizon.
