As it is often the case, Dell’s own internal systems leak information about upcoming product launches, and here we are again with Dell’s new 27-inch IPS monitor. An internal Dell driver page reveals information about an upcoming, cheaper U2713HM model.

 

The U2713HM is said to offer a 2560x1440 pixel resolution and an IPS panel. It can be connected to PCs via D-SUB, DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort. The driver page also shows a small picture and judging from the few pixels, it looks largely unchanged compared to other Dell monitors. It looks like the standard, matte black finish and an ergonomic stand.

 

Last year, Dell introduced the U2412HM as a cheaper alternative to the U2410 that is still available. U2713HM could therefore also be introduced as a cheaper alternative to the current U2711 and not as a direct replacement.

 

No words on availability or price yet. We will keep you updated and look out for an updated 30” U3013HM model, too.

It's about that time of year when we start to see new UltraSharp models emerge from the ever-popular Dell monitor range. The refreshes tend to happen every 2 years. Last year we saw the release of new models in 21.5", 23" and 24" sizes forming part of the U2x12 range. There were:

 

21.5" U2211H > U2212HM

23" U2311H > U2312HM

24" U2410 > U2412M

In fact while the 21.5" and 23" models were a direct replacement of their predecessors, the 24" version was an additional model released along side the popular U2410 screen which is still available. The newer U2412M was a trimmed down version of its predecessor and Dell decided to keep both to suit different users and different market sectors. We discussed all the differences between the two in

last year.

We didn't see a refresh of the 27" or 30" models last year though as they were last refreshed in 2010 as the U2711 and U3011 respectively. It seems that this year we will at least see a new 27" model emerge from Dell and initial speculation is that it will run alongside the existing U2711 in a similar manner to the 24" release last year. Early information suggests this will be a lower cost model with potentially trimmed down features compared with the U2711. This would seem logical and allows Dell to offer two different versions for different users.

While there is very little official information yet, Dell have

made the driver available online

already as appears to be their habit. There is also a small resolution image as shown above which suggests the design will remain similar. This page confirms the existence of a new Dell U2713HM model at least. Usually within a few weeks we start to see information appear on their spec pages as well, and official release is normally not far behind. Examining the driver files confirms the screen should support a full 2560 x 1440 resolution and that it features D-sub, DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort interfaces. More information as soon as we get it.

κριμα.. αν και εχω μια αισθηση οτι θα κοστιζει πανω απο 7 κατοσταρικα..

Κατά τη γνώμη μου το πιθανότερο είναι το δεύτερο σενάριο που αναφέρει και το TFTCentral, δηλαδή να είναι κομμένη έκδοση και όχι εξ' ολοκλήρου αντικαταστάτης της U2711.

 

Κι αν ισχύει αυτό, λογικά θα γίνει όπως με τη U2412M που είναι φθηνότερη της U2410.

 

Κι εδώ που τα λέμε δε θα 'ταν άσχημα να έπαιζε επιλογή για 27άρι IPS με 2560*1440 στα ~450-500€, έστω και με μικρότερο gamut κ.λπ.

κι εγώ αυτό πιστεύω ότι θα συμβεί μάλλον, ελπίζω όμως να βγάλουν και new "full versions" του U2410 & U2711...

Ναι, λογικά για την 2312 στις 27 ίντσες μοιάζει.Αν παίζει γύρω στο 450ρι-500ρι μάλλον θα οδηγήσει πολύ κόσμο στα 2560.

Μια χαρά παίζεις και σε αυτή την ανάλυση.Βγάζεις το aa που δεν είναι δα και τόσο αναγκαίο και οτιδήποτε λιγότερο σου φαίνεται sd...Ακούτε με.
