Πρόβλημα με εκτυπωτή

Λοιπόν έχω ένα εκτυπωτή HP Deskjet 640c τον οποίο έχω συνδέσει στην παράλληλη θύρα.

Έχω προσθέσει τον χρήστη στα lp και lpadmin groups.

 

Χρησιμοποιώ τον driver hpijs, 3.12.4

στην σελίδα του CUPS το connection είναι : hp:/par/DESKJET_640C?device=/dev/parport0

H (εγκατάσταση δεν έγινε χειροκίνητα μέσω της σελίδας διαχείρησης του cups αλλά με το πρόγραμμα hp-setup)

 

κάθε φορά που δοκιμάζω να τυπώσω κάτι το job δεν εκτελείται σωστά και δείχνει το παρακάτω μήνυμα λάθους

 

usr/lib/cups/backend/hp failed

 

Όταν όμως δώσω στην κονσόλα

echo "test" > /dev/lp0

 

τυπώνεται το test μια χαρά.

 

Χρησιμοποιώ arch linux ...

ο δικός μου HP δουλεύει τέλεια με τον generic driver ενώ με τους hp* τρώει κολλήματα.
