ok το εφτιαξα και ακολουθησα κατα γραμμα τις οδηγιες(εβαλα τα αρχεια στους σωστους φακελους κλπ,τωρα τι πρεπει να κανω για να τρεξει/εμφανιστει?)

 

ετρεξα απο την κονσολα conky,μου εβλαλε οτι δεν βρηκε καποιο αρχειο αλλα εχει προβλημα παλι δειτε φωτο

 

 

επισης μολις εκλεισα την κονσολα εξαφανηστηκε και εμφανιστηκε ξανα ολο το συστηματακι αυτο,α και η τελευταια καρτελα που λεει network φορτωνει καποια στατιστικα και αμεσως μετα τα κανει reset

 

 

τρελα πραγματα εγινε transparent μονο του ξαφνικα!εξαφανιστικε αυτο το μπλε...

Conky uses "pseudo"-transparency. What this means is that is not a truly "transparent" window. What it does is read the background of the root window, and changes it's own background to the section of the image it finds. Some Window or Desktop Managers do not set a background to the "real" root background, and instead place it on a layer above the root window.

1) Set the desktop window image as you have been, but also set the root window to the very same image (scaled the same, etc) and things should work well. The downside is a need for setting new images twice, but these can be automated at startup as long as you are not regularly changing your wallpaper. The upside of this solution is that it may be the simplest to implement needing the fewest changes from your current setup.

2) Set the desktop window to be transparent and just set your wallpaper through feh. This would be my recommended solution if you can set your file manager's desktop window to be transparent. That may be a big if as I don't know how to do it and it may not be possible without compositing.

 

To set the background using "feh" from your ~/.xinitrc, try the following:

 

#!/bin/sh

sleep 1 && feh --bg-center ~/background.png &

3) Use 'true' transparency on conky with xcompmgr and transset. This would require installing a couple packages and having one of them run in the background, but xcompmgr (in contrast to some compositors) is very lightweight. The upside is this is the most 'universal' solution so that future tools that also use transparency would be easier to set up.

Edit: an additional advantage of option 3 is that once it is set up, you can still use pcmanfm (or whichever manager you use) to change your wallpaper as often as you like and it will work as you'd expect it to without any additional hassle.

οντως εχεις δικιο ολα οκ τωρα.να εδω εχω ενα print screen απο το τερμιναλ οταν ανοιγω τον conky,ειναι κατι ανυσηχυτικο?πρεπει να κανω καποια ρυθμιση?

τελος δεν μπορω να το βαλω να κανει autostart,πηγαινω στο session and startup->aplication autostart και οταν παταω το κουμπακι add μου εχει 3 πεδια name,description,command.τι να κανω?

καλησπερα,μετα απο πολυ ψαξιμο ανακαλυψα οτι το conky ανοιγει οντως αυτοματα αλλα ειναι κρυμενο πισω απο το background!αμα ανοιξω την κονσολα και το τρεξω ξανα τοτε επανερχεται κανονικα και ειναι ορατο.ξερεται τι μπορω να κανω?

Αν βγάλεις το -d; To d είναι switch για να το τρέχει σαν deamon (αν το λεω σωστά γιατί το διάβασα στο man).

φτου το ιδιο! το βλεπω μολισ ανοιγει ο υπολογιστης αλλα με τον που φωρτωσει την επιφανεια εργασειας εξαφανιζεται
