EA has accidentally revealed the game that most old-school gamers have been waiting for. There were rumors that Starbreeze was developing a new, reboot, Syndicate game and it’s now official. The company released a description and a set of screenshots to EA Origin Store, but removed it immediatelly. Thankfully though, a NeoGaf user has managed to grab it so keep reading to find out more about this reboot.

 

As the press release reads, Syndicate is the re-imagination of a cult classic franchise from 1993 – a unique action shooter set in a not too distant future, where Business is War.

 

 

2069 – No longer governed by politicians, the developed world is divided up into regions controlled by megacorporations known as Syndicates. These Syndicates have revolutionized how the consumer interacts with the digital world. No longer does the consumer require a device to access the world¡¦s data and control their technology, they can do this at the blink of an eye via neural chip implant. Civilians flocked to be ¡§chip¡¦d¡¨ and enjoy all that their selected Syndicate has to offer; housing, medical, banking, insurance, education, entertainment and jobs. One complete package. One complete lifestyle. In return, the Syndicates gained unprecedented insights, and control, over the individual and their behaviour. With little governmental oversight, business has become war. Αν και το παιχνιδι δεν το βλεπω να εχει σχεση με το παλιο, καλο και ισομετρικο Syndicate..

Φοβάμαι κανένα Dungeon Keeper reboot που θα είναι racing.

πωπω αυτο ειναι ειδηση.Καπου εχω θαμενω το cd του syndicate wars.αψογο gameplay και ατμοσφαιρα.

Στο 1 syndicate ειχα κολησει σε μια πιστα διοτι δεν καταλαβενα τη σημαινει η λεξη persuade.Μετα απο χρονια καταλαβα που ειχα κανει λαθος και δεν εκανα αναβαθμιζα τον εγκεφαλο απο τους agents μου. lol

αυτα τα παιχνιδια που "βασιζονται" πανω σε παλιους τιτλους μου θυμιζουν καποιους "καλιτεχνες" που παιρνουν παλια ρεμπετικα τραγουδια και τα διασκευαζουν με ηλεκτρικες κιθαρες και ντραμς !!!

Αλλο ενα αδιαφορο console port.

κρίμα πάντως που είναι τελείως διαφορετικό παιχνίδι απο το παλιό...

εμένα πάντως αυτοί οι steampunk τίτλοι με ενθουσιάζουν. Aς το βγάλουν με ενδιαφέρων story και gameplay και δεν με ενδιαφέρει καθόλου αν είναι πιστό στο πρωτότυπο. Μου είναι αδιάφορο τι ήταν το πρωτότυπο game που βγήκε πριν κάτι δεκαετίες.

Με προβλημάτισε μόνο το πόσο εύκολα απλά παραβιάζεις τα πάντα. Ίσως το είχαν βάλει στο εύκολο ή δεν έδειχναν τη διαδικασία αλλά απλά να το κοιτάς και να το σπας λες και ανοίγεις πόρτα μου φαίνεται... βαρετό.

Cyberpunk εννοεις προφανως.

 

Να μοιαζει με το πρωτοτυπο δεν υπηρχε περιπτωση. Τετοια παιχνιδια απλα δεν βγαινουν πια.

Το syndicate κυκλοφορησε το 93 με ενα expansion το 94. Οι νεοι gamers δεν εχουν καν ακουσει γι αυτο και οι παλιοι που το παιζαν σε 386 και amiga με δισκετες μονο απο περιεργεια θα του ριχναν δευτερη ματια λογω του ονοματος.

Βεβαια και αυτο μαλλον εχει την αξια του αφου εμενα τουλαχιστον μου τραβηξε το βλεμμα.

 

Μερικες φορες η συνταγη πετυχαινει. Τα Fallout 3 και New Vegas τα ευχαριστηθηκα σχεδον οσο τα 2 πρωτα. Θα δουμε τι αξιζει και αυτο.
