Πρόβλημα με NEC DVD-RW

Καλημέρα, έχω ένα θεματάκι με το αντιγραφικό μου: (NEC DVD RW ND3550A) γράφω κανονικά δισκάκια cd και dvd, αλλά όταν πάω να γράψω dual leyer DVD, μου πετάει κατευθείαν μύνημα αποτυχίας εγγραφής, έχω δοκιμάσει αρκετά προγράμματα εγγραφής αλλά μου κάνει το ίδιο, στο nero info tool βλέπω πως υποστηρίζει εγγραφή σε dual leyer αλλά δεν θυμάμαι αν είχα γράψει ποτέ με αυτό το αντιγραφικό dual leyer. τα δισκάκια που προσπαθώ να γράψω είναι της verbatim (8x DVD-R DL) σε athlonX2 3GHz, 4GB RAM, windows7 32bit, χρονολογία αγοράς του αντιγραφικού δεν θυμάμαι, αλλά το χρησημοποιώ ελάχιστα

Με ενα nec ad5170 ειχα προβλημα (πριν 3 χρονια) απο τον πρωτο μηνα της αγορας του.απο εκει που ελεγε οτι διαβαζει και γραφει dual layer στην αρχη σταματησε να τα γραφει.μετα κανενα χρονο σταματησε να τα διαβαζει κιολας αλλα δεν με πολυ ενοιαζε λογο δικτυου και επισης δεν το χρειαζομουν και τοσο σαν αντιγραφικο.

Αλλα οταν το χρειαστικα,πηρα το πιο φθηνο lg που βρηκα και ειμαι οκ.

Δοκίμασε αλλα δισκάκια κατα προτίμηση taiyo yuden αν βρείς και επίσης ενα firmware update ( αν υπάρχει ) ισως να βοήθαγε. Ξεκίνα όμως με αλλα dvd και βλέπουμε

Αλλη μάρκα δισκάκια δεν βρίσκω, κάποτε είχα πάρει ένα αντιγραφικό sony πανάκριβο κ μου κάηκε, οπότε απευθύνθηκα σε ένα φθηνό nec..

Γιατι εχω την εντυπωση οτι sony=nec πλεον?

Eντάξει, βρήκα firmware! τώρα γράφει και διαβάζει κανονικά, θα πρέπει όμως μάλλον να βρω firmware και για την άλλη μονάδα DVD ROM που έχω, επειδή μου πετάει έξω το DL που έγραψα

 

Βρήηκα firmware και για την άλλη μονάδα (pioneer DVD-106) αλλά δεν έχω ιδέα πως τα το περάσω, για το nec ήταν ένα απλό exe, αυτό έχει ένα αρχειο Atpio109.hex, ένα up106.bat, ένα upg6a.exe και ένα text που λέει:

 

ATAPI DVD-106 FIRMWARE UPGRADE 1.09

This upgrade should NOT be applied to any other model DVD-ROM drive.

 

Files:

atpio109.hex : Firmware Version 1.09

upg6a.exe : Upgrade Utility program

up106.bat : Batch program to execute the upgrade.

 

PROCEDURE

1. Connect Pioneer DVD-ROM drive on the Secondary IDE Port with the drive set as Master (MA). Pioneer DOES NOT recommend using Cable Select (CS) NOR should there be a Slave (SL) device connected during the procedure.

 

2. If Windows 95/98 is used, boot into MS-DOS mode by selecting the Start menu on Windows 95/98. If you are using Windows 2000 or ME you will need to make a DOS boot disk with the appropriate drivers or just use a Windows 98 bootdisk.

 

3. Make sure there is no disc in the drive unit before the firmware upgrade is executed.

 

4. Make note of where you unzipped the update files at , then go there and Execute the UP106.BAT file while you are in DOS (see point 2)

 

5. The current version number of the firmware will be shown then erased and the new firmware will be uploaded.

 

6. When the DOS prompt returns. Reboot the computer by powering OFF wait 10 seconds then power ON.

 

Do not turn OFF the PC while upgrade is executed or the firmware upgrade will fail. Retry upgrade procedure from 4 through 6 if the firmware upgrade does fail.

Apply power cycle (OFF/ON) if the firmware upgrade fails.

 

IMPORTANT:

The upgrade will not function and permanent failure of the drive could occur...IF it is interrupted in any way. OR if the wrong firmware is used. ALSO you must have the drive connected as per procedure point 1.
