Ridge Racer Unbounded announced

 

Namco has announced a brand new multiplatform Ridge Racer game, due out next year for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

 

Little is known about Ridge Racer Unbounded. A teaser trailer, which does not contain gameplay footage, is available to view below.

 

It's in development at Bugbear Entertainment, the Finnish developer behind the FlatOut series and 2007 PSP game SEGA Rally.

 

The trailer shows a car driving through steamy urban streets at night. A woman leaves, walks through steam, and enters another car. She then drives straight into a taxi, knocking it flying, before tearing off. We're getting a Need for Speed vibe, with some open world destruction thrown in for good measure.

 

"We are all aware of what its concept is," was all Ridge Racer 3D game director Masamichi Yamazaki would offer Eurogamer when quizzed in San Francisco this week. "But we're not the spokesperson for that title. All the Ridge Racers have their own concepts and target audiences. That is a very different Ridge Racer from this [Ridge Racer 3DS] one.

 

"This one is a more rightful successor of the series."

είχα τα 2 πρώτα στο play1 για την εποχή τους(ειδικά το πρώτο) ήταν απίστευτο

ειναι το πρωτο παιχνιδι της namco που βγαινει και σε pc.!! ΖΗΤΩ!!!! Αν και θα προτιμουσα να εβγαιναν τα ensalved και splatterhouse στο pc στο 360 που τα επαιξα ειχαν αθλια γραφικα

Ridge Racer Unbounded 'similar to NFS, Burnout'

 

Capcom director Masamichi Yamazaki has dropped the first nugget of info on the mysterious Ridge Racer Unbounded since its debut trailer suggested a significant change of direction for the series.

 

Breaking the silence on the title, Yamazaki has told Siliconera that while Ridge Racer's always carved its own niche with those over-the-top powerslides and wacky courses, Unbounded will bare more similarities to other popular arcade racers.

 

"Ridge Racer has traditionally been a game, which appeals to the mass market due to its simple arcade-like feeling," he said. "With Ridge Racer Unbounded, it's more similar to Need for Speed or Burnout instead of the traditional Ridge Racer."

 

Further reinforcing Namco's intention to change up the series, Yamazaki added: "Ridge Racer should be able to try different directions. Even compared to other racing series they have different themes and styles. I believe Ridge Racer can also do this and give players a game with a new direction."

Έχω να παίξω από εποχές Playstation 1. Αν δεν κάνω λάθος δεν βγήκε ποτέ σε άλλη κονσόλα, εκτός από το Rage Racer.

Φαίνεται ότι το πάνω σε φάση Burnout απ' ότι είδα στο Trailer.

ναι και αμα η namco εκανε port (γιατι port θα γινοταν)το splaterhouse για pc θα εβλεπες παπαδες.οτι να ναι

αυτο δεν το καταλαβα...γιατι το ridge racer οταν ειχε βγει στο PS1 δεν υπηρχε NFS τοτε...
