UDK-based The Spire releases teaser trailer

 

Epic Games' Unreal Development Kit has generated quite a few interesting and upcoming games from small developers. One of them is a title we became aware of this week. The Spire just released a teaser trailer via its UK-based developer Raw Games that shows off some interesting looking environments and gameplay.

 

Set in the near future in an Antarctic base, the game has the player (who naturally has no memory of who he is and what his purpose is) control some kind of tech-based glove device as he tries to solve the mysteries of, well, what in the wide, wide world of sports is going on here. The gameplay in the trailer resembles Portal and the look of the game reminds us a bit of System Shock 2. You can check out the trailer after the jump.

 

The Spire is due for release sometime in 2011.
