It’s official, Microsoft has finally started the closed beta test for the 1st Windows 7 Service Pack. Although, Windows 7 SP1 won’t bring any significant changes this is another chance to try Windows 7 for free.

 

Update size + languages

The Windows 7 SP1 update is 1,22GB large and is currently available for tech beta testers in the following languages:

English, German, French, Japanese, Spanish.

Release dates:

As expected, Microsoft started the beta in June 2010. Therefore we can expect that the final release date for Windows 7 SP1 will be indeed September – October 2010. If you still haven’t jumped on the bandwagon, now might be a good time to try Windows 7!
