Battlestar Galactica Online

 

Battlestar Galactica Online is the first game inspired by a blockbuster Hollywood franchise to be fully developed on Unity technology for MMOG audiences. This platform independent engine makes it possible to produce real-time 3D applications such as MMO games with exceptionally high quality graphics without having to download a client.

 

Players will be able to choose to play as Cylons or humans in a constant struggle to control the universe or just survive its perils. A blend of tactical space combat, exploration, and mission-based gameplay will provide a diverse experience. The dramatic missions will define the game's overall storyline, enabling the player to delve into mysteries of the Battlestar universe. Battlestar Galactica Online will create a new standard for web games, with beautiful 3d graphics and innovative game mechanics bringing a new level of game play to browser based MMOG. Assets from the television production will be integrated into the game to deliver an even more authentic experience.

Ευχαριστούμε για την ενημέρωση. Η ,για μένα , καλύτερη σειρά τον τελευταίων ετών έχει καλό υλικό για να αναπτυχθεί ένα παιχνίδι, αλλά κρατώ μικρό καλάθι γιατί έχουμε δει και στο παρελθόν τι απέγιναν παιχνίδια βασισμένα σε κινηματογραφικές/τηλεοπτικές παραγωγές.

Καλα μιλαμε για μια επικη σειρα και ευχομαι να μην κατακρεουργηθει...

 

Θα προτιμουσα χιλιες φορες να το δω σε normal game με single player missions παρα σε MMOG...

όντως έπος η σειρά, και από το trailer, αν και δεν συμπαθώ τα mmo, φαίνεται να έχουν μείνει πιστοί τουλάχιστον στα μοντέλα

Από το trailer δείχνει αρκετά καλό ωστόσο, όπως αναφέρει και ο newlynx, καλύτερα να κρατάμε τις επιφυλάξεις μας γιατί έχουμε δει αρκετές πατάτες στο παρελθόν .

Battlestar Galactica Online beta date

 

The open beta for Battlestar Galactica Online will have begun by 8th February, developer BigPoint has announced.

 

"We are planning to release Battlestar Galactica Online to open beta at the latest on February the 8th, 2011," wrote BigPoint team member "Husker" on the official forum.

 

The open beta will be broken into three servers: one for Europe and two for America, East and West. More servers will be added if "necessary".

 

English will be the official chat language of the open beta, although European game clients will be available. All Fleet, System and Open chat channels are for English only: go against the rules and you'll be booted out. Chatter within player-created Squads and Wings is unrestricted and can be defined by the players in them.

Είχα κάνει αίτηση για την beta, αλλά δεν έχω λάβει κανένα e-mail...

Δε με τρέλανε το ελάχιστο που έπαιξα. Καταρχήν ειδικά με τους Cylons είναι χαζό γιατί τα ρομπότ δεν οδηγούσαν τα σκάφη. Και από εκεί και πέρα η κίνηση είναι απαίσια. Αν εξαιρέσεις τα ηχητικά το όλο παιχνίδι φαίνεται αποτυχία.

Ειναι σε open beta τωρα. Το site ειναι www.battlestar-galactica.bigpoint.com εχει το χαβαλε του, δεν ειναι τιποτα το εντυπωσιακο αλλα για να περναει η ωρα μια χαρα ειναι. Το θετικο για μενα ειναι οτι και μονο pvp που λεει ο λογος να κανεις παλι xp παιρνεις.
