Τί είναι το Spoolerlogs?

Παίδες έχω ένα πρόβλημα... πολλών gb & δεν ξέρω τι να κάνω.

Στον υπολογιστή της δουλειάς μου (όπου έχουν εγκατεστημένα Windows XP:eek:) έχουν απομείνει μόνο 2.29gb ελεύθερα στο σκληρό δίσκο, από τα 74.5gb της συνολικής χωρητικότητας.

Χωρίς πολλή σκέψη καταλαβαίνετε πως πρόκειται για παλιό μηχανάκι!

Δεν το συζητάω πως οι προκαθήμενοι μου δεν μπήκαν ουδέποτε στη διαδικασία να κάνουν ανασυγκρότηση σκληρού (αφού δεν ξέρουν καν τι σημαίνει αυτό), η οποία πλέον δεν γίνεται λόγω ελάχιστου χώρου κι ο υπολογιστής σέρνεται!

Ψάχνοντας μέσα στον C είδα πως υπάρχει ένα φάκελος με το όνομα Spoolerlogs και είναι αυτός που μου τρώει όλο το χώρο. Μέσα στο φάκελο υπάρχει ένα .xml αρχείο με το τίτλο spooler με μέγεθος 54gb!!

Σε google search διάβασα πως αυτό έχει να κάνει με τους εκτυπωτές που είναι συνδεμένοι με το PC.

Τί μπορώ να κάνω με το συγκεκριμένο αρχείο και για ποιό λόγο να είναι τόσο μεγάλο το μέγεθος του?

Εγω δεν γνωριζω την λυση. Ισως μπορουν να σε βοηθησουν οι ακολουθες απαντησεις που βρηκα σε ενα αλλο ξενο φορουμ:

 

Don't know about XP but on Windows Vista and Server 2003 that folder contains error logs related to your printer. If there's a big spooler.xml file in it then there's some problem with your printer. Uninstall it, restart the computer and reinstall the latest drivers. You can open the splcrash.log file (should be a plain .txt file) to find out which dll caused the failure. You can delete the spooler.xml file in safe mode (repeatedly press F8 at startup).

Delete the file in Safe Mode? If it comes back then it seems pretty obvious that you have other spyware on your computer which is causing this. I'd try to do a scan/clean with some of the more popular anti-spyware programs out there today.

The spooler is generally a log file for your printer. It seems as though you might have a bug in one of your printers' drivers. Are you running Vista? One solution, should this be a problem with your drivers that reinstalling the driver doesn't solve would be to check in your reg edit at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contr ol\Print" and see if there is a sub key called VEHEnabled, VEHDbgBreakOnFatalVEHCode, and/or VEHReportFaultOnFatalVEHCode. If these exist, you can try deleting them, they should not be required. However, make sure you back up your registry before you edit it. These keys enable the spoolerlog for your printer.
