With the highly anticipated beta of Gears of War 3 launching soon, Epic Games has decided to enlist fans in choosing which content will be included. In addition to two playable maps already planned for the beta, Gears of War fans will be able to vote for two more maps to be featured via a Facebook poll. Fans have four exclusive maps to choose from: Overpass, Old Town, Mercy, and the Trenches.

όσοι έχουν την EPIC edition του bulletstorm θα μπορούν να παίξουν από τις 18 Απριλίου...στις 25 θα μπορούν να παίξουν την ΒΕΤΑ αυτοί που θα κάνουν preorder το Gears από συγκεκριμένους retailers

και ποιος μας εμποδιζει να προπαραγγειλουμε να παρουμε τον κωδικο της beta και μετα να ακυρωσουμε το preorder?(κανεις προφανως,ετσι πηρα και του medal of honour)παντως το παιχνιδι ευχομαι με ολη μου την ψυχη να ειναι καλο στο multi κομματι του.μου εχει λειψει τρελα λιγο καλο gears multi.

The easiest way to access the Gears 3 beta is to pre-order the title at GameStop, which will put you into the beta program on April 25th. Those who picked up Bulletstorm are going to leap into the fray one week early, as they’ll gain entry on April 18th. Whatever the case, the beta will run until May 15th.

If you do participate, there’s a ridiculous amount of unlockables you can score for the final release of the game. Here’s the list from the press release:

Beta Tester Medal – Complete one match in the beta to unlock the Beta Tester medal, which will carry over to your gamer profile in the final game. The Beta Tester title will be featured in the “Gears 3″ multiplayer lobby as well.

Thrashball Cole – Complete 50 matches in any game type to unlock the Thrashball Cole character variant in the beta. Once unlocked, complete 10 matches as Thrashball Cole during the beta and the character will carry over to your gamer profile in the final game.

Gold-Plated Retro Lancer – Show your ultimate “Gears of War” fandom by unlocking the Gold-Plated Retro Lancer. Complete 90 matches in any game type to unlock it for the beta, and score 100 kills with it once unlocked to carry the exclusive weapon skin over to your gamer profile in the final game.

Flaming Hammerburst – Complete one match by Sunday, April 24 and unlock this weapon variant.

Flaming Lancer – Complete one match during the week of April 25 and unlock this weapon variant.

Flaming Sawed-Off Shotgun – Complete one match during the week of May 2 to unlock this weapon variant.

Flaming Gnasher Shotgun – Complete one match during the week of May 9 to unlock this weapon variant.

Question; If i order from Game.co.uk, when do i get the code?

Answer; the lady at game customer services, says "you will get an email with beta code a couple of days before the 25th, only redeemable on the 25th!"

The Beta Code will be sent on the release as stated on the website. Providing that you have supplied the correct email address you should receive the preorder promotion via email on the release. If you have not received this code by the Sunday I would recommend that you check your spam or junk mail inbox.
