Molyneux hints at Fable III for PC

 

Various hints dropped by Peter Molyneux and Lionhead point to a PC version of Fable III.

 

"There are some things we haven't seen," Molyneux told GameSpot. "We still haven't talked to the world about Natal. We still haven't talked to the world about co-op and what we're doing with co-op.

 

"We still haven't really talked about, 'Are there any other platforms for Fable that we should be talking about now?'"

 

That last question tied in with a swiftly edited Lionhead job posting (seen by VG247 on Blue's News) advertising for a network programmer whose job "involves converting and maintaining the network code of the Xbox 360 version of this game to the PC, and enabling the Xbox 360 version and the PC version to play together".

 

Peter Molyneux would 'love' to see Fable 3 on PC

 

There was an interesting moment during the Q&A session of Peter Molyneux's Fable 3 panel at GDC this year. When asked if Fable 3 will be released on PC, Molyneux was cagey though he did say that he would 'love' to see the game appear on the platform. He was careful not to raise the ire of Microsoft's "PR police people ... with sniper rifles," but went on to state, "I can say, mystically, that I love the PC." He continued, "I love what's happening to the PC, and I would love to see the Fable franchise on the PC." He concluded that he would want to make sure it was "a truly amazing experience on the PC and that, you know, it's brilliant."

 

Hardly a confirmation of any actual plans for a PC version of Fable 3 -- and it should be noted that Fable 2 has remained exclusive to the Xbox 360 since 2008 -- but it's clear that Lionhead would jump at the opportunity if given the chance.

Όχι, απλά στις τρεις συνεντεύξεις του οι δύο θα είναι για το Natal kαι οι δυο για το Fable III.

 

Και btw το Fable ως franchise υπάρχει για τα PC με το πρώτο παιχνίδι της σειράς. Να 'ναι καλά ο Πετράκης και η MS που φρόντισαν να μας κάνουν να το ξεχάσουμε λανσάροντας το Fable II μόνο για Xbox 360...

Πλέον μπορεί να θεωρείται σχεδόν σίγουρο ότι το Fable III θα κυκλοφορήσει και στο PC.

 

Η Microsoft δημοσίευσε πριν λίγο το box art του Fable III και αναγράφεται πάνω “Only on Xbox 360 & Windows”.

 

Η Microsoft δήλωσε ότι δεν έχει ανακοινώσει κάτι επίσημα για έκδοση στο PC αλλά θα το κάνει σύντομα...

Ωραια, παμε απο το 1 στο 3 ετσι απλα. Ας επλισουμε οτι θα εχουν το σθενος να βαλουν μεσα και το Fable 2 ετσι για μπονους.....ή μηπως ζηταω πολλα και πρεπει να περιμενω τετοια μονο απο την Nintendo και 1-2 αλλες ακομα εταιριες?

έπαιξα το 1 σε pc και ήταν αρκετά διασκεδαστικό και καλό. Έπαιξα το 2 σε xbox (όχι πως έχει σημασία που ήταν σε κονσόλα) και ήταν τελείως μάπα. Τα όπλα δεν είχαν στατιστικά, έβρισκες κάτι και απλα σου έλεγε αυτό είναι καλύτερο. Οι στολές δεν είχαν armour/defence ήταν καθαρά για εμφανισιακούς λόγους. Ολη την ώρα να κάνεις γριμάτσες και άλλα χαζά. Γενικά ήταν πολύ χάλια και καμιά σχέση με το 1, το μόνο καλό που είχε ήταν οταν διάλεγες quest σου έβγαζε μια νοητή γραμμή κάτω που την ακολουθούσες και σε πήγαινε στον στόχο.

 

Το 3 δεν πρόκειται ούτε καν να δώ trailer να διαβάσω review

Το ευχαριστήθηκα πάρα πολύ το 2, θα ήθελα να έχει περισσότερο RPG στοιχεία όπως Στατιστικά στα items κτλ. ,

πάρα αυτά μου άρεσε το παραμυθένιο σκηνικό, το one-button combat mode και.. ο σκύλος!

Fable III PC Details

Peter Molyneux fills us in on what Lionhead's doing with its RPG series.

 

The recent announcement that Fable III was coming to PC was interesting news for those who game on Windows. Lionhead Studios' popular role-playing series had previously appeared on the platform, released as Fable: The Lost Chapters back in 2005. Then Fable II came out, but only for Xbox 360. So why did Lionhead decide to skip the PC for the second Fable game, then again go multiplatform for the third? And will there be any exclusive features made available to PC gamers? Peter Molyneux, current Design Director for Microsoft Game Studios Europe, provided some answers.

 

First up, just some basic details: why give the green light to a PC version of Fable III? "The decision to make a PC version was made when we started Fable III," said Molyneux. "The idea was not to simply do a conversion but a standalone custom designed game for the PC which would be part of the Fable franchise. My fondness for the PC as a gaming platform probably played a part in this process. And you can expect to see it at the same time as the Xbox 360 version." ...
