me liga logia apoti epsaksa kati paizei me ta 133 fsb, ekei prepei na einai to problima.

molis twra tha steilw kai to parakatw aggliko kimeno se mail sthn gigabyte pou einai kai i mitriki mou, gia na dw an kai ti 8a mou apantisoun...

 

alla parakalw an kapios exei to idio problimo kai kserei an yparxeilisi, i kati mporei na ginei please, as riksei ena post...

hello.

i have the motherboard ga-7zxr-c rev.3 with updated bios to F9.

i am having a problem with my new cpu, amd athlon xp+ 2100 (palomino 0.18).

for the past half year i was using an amd duron at 800mhz, with almost no problem.

i updated the bios to version F9 that you say at the site, " Support AMD Athlon XP 2100+(0.18u)

 

CPU (only for Rev. 3.x) "so, everything seems to be ok.

i installed correctly the new cpu, and the system booted normal into the windows, where i saw that

 

the cpu was working at 1300mhz, AMD ATHLON 1.3.

i tried to load optimized setup to the bios, as i read at the manual, but nothing happened.

i tried to change from the bios, the FSB-front side bus clock, manually from auto, to 133~150, as i

 

read at the manual page 100, but it only went from auto, to 100 and only up to 120 and again to auto.

 

so i couldn't change the fsb from there.

i tried the jumper switch as i read at page 8, JP21 to change it from 2-3 close : cpu clock 100mhz

 

(default) , to 1-2 close cpu clock 133.

and the only thing changed, was that after the reboot the monitor stayed off, (i had to remove the

 

power cable and reinstall it) until i changed again the jumper to the previous position 2-3 close to

 

100mhz clock, to boot again into windows and see that nothing else changed, the cpu still in

 

1300mhz.

after that, i changed the jumper switch , SW6 cpu ratio, from auto to 12.5x but nothing different

 

again.

and i wonder, the xp2100+i think it's real speed is about 1700?

the cpu ratio shouldn't be at 13 or somthing?

if so, then the last i was trying to do is wrong, at 12.5 . and if that was the only way, then why do you

 

say Support AMD Athlon XP 2100+ ? and not only: Support AMD Athlon XP 2000+ ???

so i hope that it's just the available combinations of the switches on the motherboard, that don't

 

support this, and so be available when inside the bios, and from the update of the bios to version F9.

 

i would also like to ask you about a problem i have, it's about my hdd drive (western digital 60gb

 

ata100 8mb cache) every time i boot, right before i logon to windows, at the screen where i wait for

 

the system to search a drive with ultra 100, and it never finds one.

i have installed the driver but nothing happens.

and it bothers me that it happens always and i have to wait for 10 seconds on every boot! at least

 

there could be an option for this not to happen/search.

i would like to find a solution for this mini, but tiring problem.

 

and i need desperate a solution for my first problem, with the cpu speed.

you see, 1300 to 1700 is a big difference. (perfomance and money difference both)
