Αυτό που περιγράφεις γίνεται στις γραμμές ISDN και ονομάζεται call bumping. Αν είσαι στο Internet και με τα δύο κανάλια και χτυπήσει το τηλέφωνο (ή σηκώσεις εσύ το τηλέφωνο για να πάρεις), πέφτει αυτόματα το ένα κανάλι. Απ' ότι γνωρίζω και μπόρεσα να βρω, την λειτουργία την υποστηρίζει το netMod από την έκδοση Xmas netMod και μετά. Δηλαδή δεν την έχουν τα παλιά σειριακά netMod. Προφανώς βάζεις κάποια εντολή ΑΤ στο netMod αλλά δεν γνωρίζω ποιά είναι αυτή.

 

Πάντως δεν νομίζω να γίνεται σε κανονικά modem. Κάτι παρόμοιο βέβαια περιγράφεται για το νέο πρωτόκολλο V92:

Modem On Hold

Users can suspend a data call, answer an inbound telephone call, and then re-establish the data call without losing the connection. This feature permits fuller utilization of a single phone line, removes the need for a second line and eliminates time lost when the users modem disconnects from the Internet. Users must be subscribed to call waiting from their local telephone company to take advantage of this feature. (source)
