Επιλογή wireless bridging mode για επεκταση δικτύου με 2 access point

Καλησπέρα,

Έχω 2 NetGear WG602 AP και θέλω να τα ενώσω για επέκταση του δικτύου μου.

 

Το 1 είναι πάνω στο modem/router ενώ το 2 είναι απομακρυσμένο. Αυτό που θέλω να μάθω είναι το σωστό wireless bridging mode.

 

Τα διαθέσιμα είναι:

 

1. Access Point

2. Wireless Point-to-Point Bridging

In this mode, the WG602 will communicate with a single bridge-mode wireless access point. And, if you check the Enable Wireless Client Association checkbox, wireless clients will also be serviced by this access point. You must enter the MAC address (physical address) of the other Bridge-mode Wireless Station in the field provided. WEP can (and should) be used to protect this communication.

 

3. Wireless Multi-Point Bridging

In this mode, the WG602 will communicate with up to four bridge-mode wireless access points. And, if you check the Enable Wireless Client Association checkbox, wireless clients will also be serviced by this access point. You must enter the MAC address (physical address) of each other Bridge-mode Wireless Station in the field provided. Each wireless access point you enter will be listed in the Wireless Remote Access Point List. When you enter the remote wireless access point MAC address, the WG602 will attempt to validate that the SSID, channel, and WEP configuration of the remote access point matches the settings of this WG602. WEP can (and should) be used to protect this traffic.

 

4. Repeater

In this mode, the WG602 will operate as a Repeater only, and send all traffic to the remote AP. If selected, you must enter the MAC address (physical address) of the remote AP.

 

5. Client Mode

In this mode, the WG602 will operate as a client bridge only, and send all traffic to the remote AP or peer device. If selected, you must reconfigure the device after reboot.

If using MAC Clone, enter the MAC Address here. The device does a MAC address translation to support multiple Ethernet devices simultaneously. It replaces the source link addresses of all frames transmitted from the wireless interface, and restores the destination link addresses of all frames received by the wireless interface to their real ones.

 

 

Τι mode πρέπει να έχω στο κάθε ένα?

 

έχω κάνει διάφορες δοκιμές αλλά στο ΑΡ 2 ενώ συνδέομαι με το λαπτοπ μου δεν βλέπω internet, οπότε κάποιο λάθος κάνω.

Τελικά με επιπλέον δοκιμές δούλεψε κανονικά ... έπρεπε να βάλω την επιλογή 2 και στα 2 ΑΡ

Λογικα θα πρεπει να χρησιμοποιησεις την δευτερη επιλογη και να κανεις Enable Wireless Client Association checkbox για να μπορεις να συνδεθεις και εσυ σε αυτο ως client.Εφ οσον τα 2 AP κανουν συνδεση μεταξυ τους, κανοντας εσυ συνδεση στο 2 AP θα πρεπει να σου δωσει τις ρυθμισεις IP μεσω DHCP για να βγεις στο internet.

Οταν κανεις συνδεση στο 2 AP εχεις τσεκαρει αν σου δινει τις σωστες διευθυνσεις IP??

Ναι, σωστά, η 2η επιλογή είναι. Λειτουργεί μια χαρά τώρα το σύστημα.
