Shmups, 2D Shooting Games

Θέλω να πιστέυω οτι υπάρχουν αρκετοί λάτρεις των 2D Shooting Games ώστε να σχηματιστεί Ελληνικό Community. Aναφέρεται όσα shmups έχετε 1CC-1 Credit Clear η σκοπέυεται να 1CC. Post επίσης ποιό shmup παίζεται και σε ποιόν emulator. Θα υπάρξει και ανάλογο thread και στα Console Gaming Subforum οπού πραγματικά ανθίζουν τα shmups στις κονσόλες. Λόγω όμως της σπανιότητας των τίτλων και της υψηλής τιμής τους θεώρησα πιό σωστό να ανοίξω πρώτα το thread στο PC Games Subforum. Γιατί πολύ απλά οι λάτρεις του είδους γνωρίζουν πως για μερικούς τίτλους το να τα τρέχουν σε emulator είναι ο μόνος εφικτός τρόπος να τα χαρούν. Τρανή εξαίρεση παρόλαυτα αποτελεί η πρόσφατη κυκλοφόρια του Sin and Punishment - Nintendo 64 Japan - Trasure στο Virtua Console online shop του Wii. Αλλά μιλάμε για έναν τίτλο ανάμεσα σε εκαντοτάδες.

 

 

Shooting Games (also known as shmup) is a computer and video game genre of shooter game in which the player controls a vehicle or character and fights large numbers of enemies with shooting attacks. The style of the game may range from cute to serious, from fantasy and science fiction to historic settings.

Shoot 'em ups originated in the arcades with Space Invaders usually being credited with the genre's birth. They peaked in popularity during the late 80s and early 90s, primarily as arcade and console titles. As the use of 3D graphics became more common in video games, the simplicity and arcade sensibilities of the genre slowly relegated their popularity to that of a niche. The genre remains most alive in Japan.
