One of the biggest titles of the year goes on sale October 3rd, MCV can reveal.

 

With consumer anticipation for the game already sky high – and some hardline PES supporters even admitting that it could be a Pro Evo beater – EA has exclusively revealed to MCV that FIFA ʽ09 is set for release on October 3rd.

 

The latest in the ultra-successful FIFA series is scheduled for release on PS3, 360, Wii, PC, PS2, PSP, DS and mobile platforms, and boasts considerable improvements over last yearʼs edition.

 

“Weʼve made over 250 improvements from last year and we wanted to give the team the time they needed to make the best FIFA game possible,” said senior product manager Trevor Uzice. “Weʼre continuing to build on the solid foundation from last year which saw us create the most successful FIFA both in terms of sales and quality.”

 

Game improvements include a 20-player online mode, more responsive first time shooting, improved goalkeeper AI, and an over-the-top arcade mode built specifically for the Wii.

 

EA has also partnered with leading Premier League clubs including Arsenal, Chelsea, Portsmouth, Newcastle and Tottenham, in support of the title.

 

“We are continuing to work with Arsenal on marketing initiatives and we are pleased to announce a three-year deal with Chelsea, which sees us become their exclusive games partner,” continued Uzice.

 

“We are also working with several Premier League clubs on programmes which will allow us to build a closer relationship with fans around the country. Just as important to us is our commitment to the Football League and we will be working with all clubs from the Championship, Division 1 and Division 2.”

A New King? FIFA 09 Next-Gen Preview

 

Itʼs been three years since the launch of the Xbox 360 and the beginning of a new generation of consoles. With so much promise this generation has produced some killer titles in other genres but unfortunately for football fans, it has been an agonizingly long three years and we are yet to see a game that truly represents the sport we love in true next-gen fashion. There have been many brave attempts but they have all fallen short, in some cases very short. Whilst EA have made the biggest strides (will the FIFA series please stand up), most purists still felt that the game lacked soul and suffered from crippling response times. But looking on the bright side, it was enough to make most football fans snap it up and enjoy the plethora of options ranging from Be A Pro to a joyous online experience...

Φαίνεται να έχει ωραία γραφικά, καλό ρυθμό, μέτρια ball physics, πολύ καλό και πολυποίκιλο animation. Δεν μου άρεσε η επαφή των παικτών, ειδικά αν μπλέκονταν πάνω από δύο παίκτες. Επίσης, γινόταν πολύ τουρλουμπούκι η φάση σε ορισμένα σημεία.

Όπως και να 'χει, massive improvement σε σχέση με το περυσινό (μιλάμε πάντα για PC). Μου φαίνεται ότι θα ξαναγοράσω Fifa μετά από το 2003 οπότε και βγήκε το πρώτο Pro Evo για PC. Ελπίζω να ξυπνήσει και η ΚΟΝΑΜΙ επιτέλους μετά από την άνοδο του FIFA.

Ναι, ειδικά στις ψηλές προωθημένες είναι σαν να κόβει ξαφνικά ταχύτητα στον αέρα. Ας ελπίσουμε να το διορθώσουν αυτό μέχρι να κυκλοφορήσει, γιατί τα ball physics είναι το μισό παιχνίδι.

φαινεται σε αυτα τα βιντεακια οτι το παιζουν σε μεγαλυτερη ταχυτητα και ειναι πιο ωραιο.Η κινηση της μπαλας παραμενει ελεϊνη.Επισης οι φασεις μπροστα στο τερμα (κεφαλιες,σουτ,αποκρουσεις,κορνερ) φαινονται pre-animated και προκαθορισμενες.Γενικα φαινεται να λειπει τo randomness του pro στα σουτ λογω κακων ball-physics

Here's the latest of the large bunch of videos one of the FSB minions was able to capture from i34.

 

This one is Italy v France from the loading section through to the first few minutes of the match, really good opportunity to see how seamlessly the game moves from loading and running at the keeper in the training section through to the actual stadium itself, looks really splendid.

 

Again this match is single player v AI, and just like the 2006 World Cup final the video ends on a highly comedic moment!
