μολις ελαβα αυτους τους drivers στο update

 

παιδια εχω τρελαθει, το compiz πεταει ολα πανε πιο γρηγορα ακομα και με 2 - 3 εργα σε fullscreen !!!!

η ειναι η ιδεα μου;;; τι διαλο τοσο αρρωστος ειμαι;

Οι τελευταίοι drivers πάντως αυτής της σειράς είναι έκδοση 173.14.05.

δεν εχουν μπει στα repos του mandriva , θα περιμενω λιγο να γινει μονο του update

μαλλον θα εχουμε ωραιες εξελιξεις στο θεμα drivers της nvidia

Παιδια , μεγαλη η διαφορα , και το καταλαβαινω οταν ανοιγω ταινιες σε fullscreen και γυριζω τον κυβο , τωρα με 3 ταινες γυριζω τον κυβο ανελεειτα και δεν σταματαν να παιζουν !!

εχουμε διαφορετικη διανομη δεν γινεται. Εχω ειμαι σε Mandriva και εσυ σε ubuntu μαλλον

εμενα ειναι rpm διανομη και εσενα ειναι deb

 

κατεβασε τους απο το site της nvidia αν βιαζεσαι αλλά καλύτερα να περιμένεις λίγο θα μπουνε στα αποθετηρια της διανομης σου

Χτες βγήκαν οι 177.67 NVIDIA BETA Linux driver.

Οι driver φέρνουν υποστίριξη για τις νέες κάρτες τις nvidia αλλά και διορθώνουν από τι φένετε τα προβλήματα που υπήρχαν με την απόδοση σε kde4 περιβάλλων. Oι driver υπάρχουν ήδη στα repositories για το ubuntu ibex ενω για το hardy θα πρέπει να περιμένουμε να γινουν stable για αν τους ανεβάσουν.

Δεν ξέρω αν γίνεται και σε άλλα μηχανήματα, αλλά παρατήρησα πως οι επιλογές που γίνονται στο nvidia-settings δεν φορτώνονται κατά την εκκίνηση του X. Έτσι χρειάζεται κάθε φορά να τρέξει ένα nvidia-settings -l ώστε να φορτώνονται οι ρυθμίσεις.

Επιτέλους μετά από κάμποσους μήνες, βγήκε μια beta έκδοση για τις legacy κάρτες γραφικών της nvidia:
