Hello People! In this guide i will show you how to create a full 97d+99i mu server - 100% works.

 

All credits for this guide go to ArchSystemous.

 

OK let's say it's Saturday and you have plenty of time so it's the best idea to create your own server and let's start RIGHT NOW .

 

 

 

STEP 1 - Download Files

 

First we have to download the files of our server. And what we need?

 

SQL SERVER 2000 :

 

DOWNLOAD IT HERE : (Size=267Mb)

Let's continue now with the second download.

 

MU SERVER FILES : (size=6.09Mb)

 

Download mu server files with version 97d+99i by clicking here :

Let's continue with the third download.

 

SERVER CLIENT : (size=106Mb)

 

Download mu client with version 97d+99i by clicking here :

Now let's finish this step by downloading the last file we need.

Once you have downloaded all this files we are ready to go to Step 2. But before we go i would like to give you some more information. In order to create the mu server you must have a good system configuration. The most important thing for a server is the RAM. You need at least 768mb in order to work without problems. Of course, if you have more is better. As for the CPU now. A CPU at speed 2 Ghz is good. And as for the GPU (Graphics Card) we need a simple one. Now i will give you some information about the internet connection speed. If you don't have ADSL then a good idea is to forget this guide. (If you have "big" Ram and a good internet connection the other players who connect to your server will not have lag and other problems.

 

Another thing we must see is the website for the server.Each server has a website. A good idea is to have 2 computers to a local network in order to open the website server to the second one. But i will show you how to open it in the same computer (in the next guide which i am gonna create). This is not a big problem.

 

OK i think we are ready to start. There two ways to open the mu server. You must have a D:\ disk in your computer or if you don't have then we will create a folder in C:\ called D. In this guide we will create the server using the second way - with the folder D in C:\.

 

 

 

 

STEP 2 - MU SERVER FILES CONFIGURATION

 

In Step 1 we have downloaded the mu server files with version 97d+99i. Extract them on your desktop. Now go to your local disk C:\ and create a folder called D. Open this folder and create a second one called muserver. In that folder copy and paste the extracted mu server files. Now extract the ODBC file we have downloaded and do the same - copy and paste it the muserver folder. (If you want to create your server in a D:\ Disk then just create the folder called muserver and do exactly same thing).

 

It's time to change the ip of the mu server files into ours ip (ip=internet protocol). Go to start/run and type cmd.Now the Windows console will appear.In the console type ipconfig and press enter. Now you will see your IP Address. Write this address somewhere because you need it in order to change the ip in the muserver files.Below you will see the mu server files you have to change the ip.

 

Go to D\muserver\CS and open Connectserverlist using Notepad or Wordpad. There you will find the ip 81.198.132.157.Replace this ip with your ip. and then save the file.

 

Do exactly the same thing with these files : -------- (81.198.132.157 - you may don't see this ip.you may see 127.0.0.1 or something else.again just replace it with your ip)

 

D\muserver\CS\data\Connectserverlist

D\muserver\CS\data\ServerInfo

D\muserver\CS\data\ServerList

D\muserver\data\commonserver - in that file you will find three ips.Replace them all

D\muserver\data\IpList

D\muserver\lang\kor\commonloc

D\muserver\links\4 - here right click on file 4 and select properties. there you will find the ip. Replace it with yours and press ok (if you can't press ok and you get an error just check the path of the file.)

D\muserver\links\8 - here you will find two ips. Do the same

 

We have finished with that step. Le'ts continue to the next one.

 

 

 

 

Step 3 - SQL SERVER INSTALLATION AND CONFIGURATION

 

Now it's time to install and configure the SQL Server. Open the SQL Server (we have downloaded it before) and extract the files in the default path which gives you. Now restart your computer.

 

Now do this :

 

Go to "C:\SQLEVAL",

Open autorun.exe,

Select "SQL 2000 Server Compotents",

Select "Install Database Server",

Press "Next" four times, then "Yes",

Select "Server and Client tools" (Default),

Press "Next" two times.,

Select "Use the Local System account" and press "Next",

Select "Mixed Mode (Windows Authentication and SQL Server Authentication)",

The username is always sa (it's the default) and write your password (it would be a good idea not to write again sa because this is easy for other people to hack your servera),

Press "Next" and "Finish".

 

Now go to Start/AllPrograms/Microsoft SQL Server/ and open Service Manager. The Service Manager will start.Press start.

 

Go to the muserver folder and delete the four files in db folder.

 

Now we have to restore the databases. How to do that? You will find out how below :

 

Go to start/AllPrograms/SQL Server/ and open enterprise manager.

Double click on Microsoft SQL Server.

Double click on SQL Server Group.

Double click on (Local)(Windows NT) and select Databases.

Right Click on the blank and select New Database. Give the name MuOnline.

Right Click on the blank and select New Database. Give the name Ranking.

 

Right click on the database "MuOnline" and go to "All Tasks" -> "Restore database"

Click on From Device

Click on Select Devices

Click on Add

Click on the "..." and go to D:\MuServer\db baks\ and select MuOnline

Press "OK" three times

 

Do extaclty the same for Ranking Database but when you click on the "..." select D:\MuServer\db baks\Ranking.

 

Sometimes here you get an error and it can't restore the databases. How to fix it? Once you selected "..." and the file you want to restore go to Options label and under the "Move to physical file name" change the path of the muserver.

 

Once you have done all these close the Enterprise Manager and go to the muserver folder and change or add the password you gave during SQL Server setup in these files :

 

D\muserver\MU2003_EVENT_SERVER\data\ and open using again notepad or wordpad svconfig and change or add the password. Do the same for :

D\muserver\RankingServer\svconfig.

 

Actually our server is now ready. There are some last things we have to do. In the muserver folder open the ODBC file and click two times OK.

Now let's open the damn server :P . Go to the links folder and open all the files from 1 to 8. Your server is ready.

 

Step 4 - CONNECT USING THE CLIENT

 

Extract the client on your desktop. The only thing we have to do here is to create a Launcher and make some changes in the Main.exe file.

 

Let's start with the Main.exe. Download the Main Editor from here :

Extract it on your desktop and open it. Now click Open and open the Main.exe from the client folder. Change now the IP you can see into yours. You can also see a Serial. This Serial must be the same with the muserver files. To check if it's the same go to :

 

\D\muserver\data\lang\kor and open commonloc. There you will see the ClientEXESerial. Copy it and replace it in the main editor Serial. Now click save.

 

We are ready with the main. In order to create a launcher you can use various applications such as Global Launcher by Skyteam. You can download it here :

When you create a launcher as a port you must ALWAYS use 44405.

 

 

SOME IMPORTANT NOTES :

 

The two most common errors you may get opening the Gameserver are :

 

1)LoginServerError which means that you don't change an IP.

2)Monter Attribute Max Over 4200 which means that in MonsterSetBase there are more monsters than it can take or there is a line which is wrong.

 

 

HOW TO CONFIG YOUR SERVER (EXP,DROS ECT)

 

You can change many things of your server using the file commonserver which is located in muserver\data.

As for the monsters you can add spots or add single monsters or change something using the file MonsterSetBase in muserver\data and also the file Monster which is in the same location and from that you can config the abilities of each monster.

 

When you config something you must always start the server again and before you start it ALWAYS open ODBC file.

How to use BMD Editor?

 

Open BMD Editor and then select from the menu : File/Open/Text. Now click Open and go to your client folder and open the file called Text.bmd which is located in Data/Local/Text.bmd.

 

In order to change the Welcome message whcih someone can see in you server you have to download WTF editor from the same website as BMD Editor.

 

How to use WTF Editor?

 

Open WTF Editor and click on the Open Icon (the language of this editor is unknown). Once you pressed on it open the file called message_chs which located in your muserver folder/data.

 

And the most basic and valuable editor is MuEditor. For this version you can use MuEditor 2.1. You can download from the same website as BMD and WTF editors.

 

Download it and open it. Welcome to the real world. From here you can do anything you want. Add/Remove/Config account or items.

εδώ μιλάμε για onlline έτσι? αν bmwreis να μου βρείς για lan δηλαδή offline να παίζω εγώ στο σπίτι μου Έχω Sony Βάιο laptop BLUREY κιάλα κάνει για να σηκώσω τον server?:cry:

για offline βαζεις παντου την LAN IP σου,και στον cillent και εισαι jet.

Ε ενταξει,μεχρι να ανοιγει ο server θα τα βρησκει λιγο σκουρα το λαπτοπ,αλλα μετα εισαι οκ.

Γεια σας παιδια. Ακολουθησα βημα βημα το guide εφτιαξα το server μου αλλα εχο ενα προβλημα. οταν μου ανοιγει δε μου διχνει τα servers μου μοιποσ κανα help?

Καλησπέρα παιδες. Με ενδιαφέρει και μένα η δημιουργία ενώς mu server αλλά νομίζω πως η SQL 2000 δεν τρέχει στα vista. An βάλω MySql, τι θα αλλάξει στην διαδικασία?

Καλησπέρα παιδιά. Με ενδιαφέρει και μένα η δημιουργία ενώς mu server αλλα αν μοπούσατε να κάνετε εναν οδηγό για το πως στίνουμε seazon 4 h 3.2 mu online server....ή αν μπορούσατε να μου δώσετε καπιο ling που θα μοθ δώσει καπιες πλιροφορίες.....

Παιδία θέλω να κάνο ένα σερβερ για μυ ονλινε. Ξέρει κανείς πως μπορό να κάνο??? Βασικά έκανα κάτι σαν σερβερ αλλά είχε κάποιο πρόβλημα και τον διέγραψα. Αν ξέρει κανεις πώς να κάνο σας παρακαλώ να το γράψει.

γεια σας παιδια..

 

προσπαθω εδω και αρκετο καιρο να ξεκινησω εναν MU server online 0.97b (Βασικα οτι να'ναι αρκει να μιν πηγαινει στο version 1) ακολουθησα τον guide που υπαρχει στο insomnia πολλες φορες επαναλαμβανοντας τα ιδια πραγματα και δοκιμαζωντας νεα, αλλα τιποτα.. το προβλημα που αντιμετωπιζω εχει ως εξης...ολα ξεκινουν μια χαρα μα οταν φτανω στην οθονη που διαλεγεις server ( εκεινη με τα καραβια στην συγκεκριμενη version ) δεν μπορω να βρω τα servers για να κανω login...απλα βλεπω τα καραβια να ταξιδευουν στο απειρο για ωρες...εχω δοκιμασει τα παντα...μπορει καποιος να με βοηθησει?

παιδια βαριουμουν αφανταστα και δεν σκεφτομουν να ποσταρω τιποτα εδω , αλλα μιας και ειδα τοσα παλικαρια να βασανιζονται , ειπα να βοηθησω , τωρα που καταφερα να σηκωσω τον δικο μου σερβερ και καταλαβα πως λειτουργουν ολα.. :Ρ

 

Λοιπον , για αυτους που εχουν σηκωσει το σερβερ αλλα δεν μπορουν να μπουν μεσα , κοιταξτε παλι τα IPs και σιγουρευτειτε οτι σε ολα εχετε βαλει το global ip ( εδω θα το βρειτε : http://www.cmyip.com ) σας , εκτος απο το ογδοο λινκ που πρεπει να βαλετε το : 127.0.0.1

τωρα , αυτο που ξεφευγει απο ολους μας , ακομα και στα guides , ειναι το Port forwarding . πηγαινετε στο : portforwarding.com , ψαξτε για το δικο σας router , και βρειτε πως να ανοιξετε τα 2 ports που χρειαζετε το Mu . μην μπερδευτειτε απο ολα αυτα τα ονοματα που εχει , κοιταξτε στο κατω μερος του ρουτερ σας και θα μαθετε πως το λενε και τι μοντελο ειναι . μετα θα σας ζητησει να διαλεξετε το game για το οποιο ανοιγετε ports , και ολα γινονται πολυ απλα. αν ουτε αυτο δουλεψει , ανοιξτε τα αρχεια στα οποια αλλαξατε τα IPs και αν βρειτε πουθενα πορτς , διαφορετικα απο αυτα που σας συστησε το site , καντε τα forward . ( μην ξεχασετε ττα links , 4 kai 8 )
