kostacurtas Δημοσ. 13 Ιουνίου 2008 Δημοσ. 13 Ιουνίου 2008 Wheelman - Preview Vin Diesel's latest game foray is shaping up, and we take it for a test drive. What a difference a venue makes. When I last saw Wheelman, Midway's upcoming action driving game starring Vin Diesel, it was at the company's Las Vegas event in April. The place was crowded and loud, so much so that all you could discern about the game is that there was plenty of driving and shooting around a bright and colorful virtual version of Barcelona. Skip ahead a couple of months and Midway was kind enough to swing by the IGN office to let us check out the game in the quiet and comfort of our own demo room. While the driving and shooting remained intense, being able to actually hear the game made a huge difference as the audio enhances Wheelman's obvious movie inspirations, which are basically every chase movie ever made. Let's set the stage. Wheelman is primarily open-world driving combat game with a bit of on-foot combat on the side. You get to play as Vin Diesel as the Wheelman, an American getaway driver exploring the criminal underworld of Barcelona. This is a town with rival gangs and factions that you can work for or displease. It's also a big place, with major roads and landmarks faithfully modeled. And in case you were wondering, this isn't based on a Vin Diesel movie, though there is a movie called The Wheelman (starring Diesel) that's currently in development...
Blackman Δημοσ. 13 Ιουνίου 2008 Δημοσ. 13 Ιουνίου 2008 απο το βίντεο και τις φώτος...φαίνετε ότι ήθελα να κάνουν τον χαρακτήρα να μοιάζει πιστά στον vin diesel ακόμα και μέσα στο αυτοκίνητο, χωρίς να τον βάλουν σε όλα τα απαραίτητα καλωδιόματα για να έχουν όλες τις κινήσεις του...οπότε ακόμα και μέσα στο αμάξι είναι σαν να βλέπεις μία κούκλα ελπίζω το τελικό αποτέλεσμα να είναι διαφορετικό και το παιχνίδι δεν πάει να χτυπήσει το GTA, αλλά να κάνουν σε παιχνίδι το αντίστοιχο της ταινίας Transporter (βασικά...τρελή απομίμιση από τα λίγα που είδα)

kostacurtas Δημοσ. 25 Ιουλίου 2008 Δημοσ. 25 Ιουλίου 2008 Midway Delaying Wheelman to Q1 2009 When we played the Vin Diesel vehicle Wheelman at E3 last week, we were mostly surprised to learn that the game was coming out in the Fall. "What, this game?" we thought. While enjoyable junk food and technically impressive in parts, Wheelman felt like a game that was six months out, in need of a bit of polish before it went public. Fortunately, that's what it sounds like Midway is planning to do, as reps told us at Comic-Con tonight that the title, originally scheduled for a release this year will get more time in the development incubator. Now planned for a Q1 '09 release, Wheelman will still beat the movie of the same name to the theaters, it will arrive just a bit later and hopefully be the better for it. We also hope they'll rewrite that pedestrian car dodging logic. Far too many suicidal Barcelonans in this game...
