Ειχε ανακοινωθει σε αρκετες σελιδες (συμπεριλαμβανομενου και του ShackNews) καπου αρχες 2006 οτι η EA Games ειχε ανανεωσει το trademark της στο IP "System Shock", νομιζω κατι ειχε παρει το ματι μου και στο PC Gamer τοτε - απο τοτε ομως δεν ανακοινωθηκε τιποτα επισημα (οι φημες βεβαια δινουν και παιρνουν, as usual :-D )

E3 2009: BioShock 2 Multiplayer Demo

 

Instead of diving deeper into the single-player portion of BioShock 2, 2K Marin and Digital Extremes used E3 2009 as a venue for showcasing its multiplayer element. Since the first game didn't have any kind of multiplayer, this is something new to the franchise, and something the team wants to get right. While the story of the main takes place years after the events of the original, the multiplayer component is being set up as more of a prequel. The conflict in which the free-for-all and team free-for-all mode take place is set right around the time of Rapture's fall, just as the populace of the underwater city was beginning to succumb to splicing-induced psychosis...

BioShock 2 fact sheet details both single and multiplayer aspects

 

Storyline:

 

Set approximately 10 years after the events of the original BioShock, the halls of Rapture once again echo with sins of the past. Along the Atlantic coastline, a monster has been snatching little girls and bringing them back to the undersea city of Rapture. You are the very first Big Daddy as you travel through the decrepit and beautiful fallen city, chasing an unseen foe in search of answers and your own survival.

 

Multiplayer in BioShock 2 provides a rich prequel experience that expands the award winning BioShock gameplay. Set during the fall of Rapture, players assume the role of a Plasmid test subject in the underwater city that was first explored in the original BioShock. Players will need to use all the elements of the game’s toolset to survive as the full depth of the BioShock experience is refined and transformed into a unique multiplayer experience that can only be found in Rapture.

 

Multiplayer Features:

 

  • Genetically Enhanced Multiplayer – Earn experience points during gameplay to earn access to new Weapons, Plasmids and Tonics that can be used to create hundreds of different combinations, allowing players to develop a unique character that caters to their playing style.
     
  • Experience Rapture’s Civil War– Players will step into the shoes of Rapture citizens and take direct part in the civil war that tore Rapture apart.
     
  • See Rapture Before the Fall – Experience Rapture before it was reclaimed by the ocean and engage in combat over iconic environments in locations such as Kashmir Restaurant and Mercury Suites, all of which have been reworked from the ground up for multiplayer.
     
  • FPS Veterans Add Their Touch to the Multiplayer Experience – Digital Extremes brings more than 10 years of first person shooter experience including development of award-winning entries in the Unreal and Unreal Tournament franchise.

 

Singleplayer Features:

 

  • Evolution of the Genetically Enhanced Shooter: Innovative advances bring new depth and dimension to each encounter. New elements, such as the ability to dual-wield weapons and Plasmids, allow players to create exciting combinations of punishment

Καλά, το παιχνίδι είναι μαγεία. Τερμάτισα το 1 χτές και έμεινα έκπληκτος, πρώτη φορά έπαιξα ένα τέτοιο αριστούργημα. Δεν μπορώ να περιμένω για το 2 ... !

Χαχα, καλως ηρθες και συ. Παιξε βασικα τα παλιοτερα για να στρωσεις χαρακτηρα ως να ερθει και το 2. Ριξε ενα ματι σε

2. Deus eX 1

3. Thief 3

 

Αν τα εχεις ηδη παιξει (που δεν νομιζω) εχει καλως.

Το thief 3 μοιαζει με το Bioshock?:confused:

 

Με λιγη καλη διαθεση ναι. Ποιο πολυ μιλαω απο θεμα "αριστουργηματος" και "τεχνης" παρα απο το theme του παιχνιδιου.

Βασικά αυτά τα games είναι από τον καιρό του Nώε, αλλά μοιάζουν στο gameplay του Bioshock .

 

Απο τον καιρο του Νωε ισως αλλα συνεχιζουν να ειναι αξεπεραστα. Ουτε και το Bioshock τα φτανει. Αυτοι ειναι οι μπαμπαδες και χλωμο να υπαρξουν καλυτερα στο μελλον.

French studio Arkane is working on Bioshock 2

 

The homepage on Arkane Studios states:

 

"Arkane Studios is pleased to announce its collaboration with 2K Marin and contributions to Bioshock 2 in the areas of design, animation and art. We're excited about this game, which underscores Arkane Studios' core values."

 

Arkane Studios, the Lyon, France based developers are known for it's games Arx Fatalis, and Dark Messiah of Might and Magic.

 

In 2006, Arkane Studios announced the ambitious first-person shooter title, The Crossing; but officially announced The Crossing was put on hold in early 2009.

BioShock 2 Delayed

 

Take-Two today announced that BioShock 2 has been delayed to a new release date in its 2010 fiscal year.

 

While the game's original release date of November 3 technically fits into the beginning of the year--which begins on November 1, 2009--the company implied a further delay to an unspecified date.

 

"We concluded that moving the release of BioShock 2 into fiscal year 2010 was the right decision for the product," said Take-Two chairman Strauss Zelnick. "We believe the result will be a more compelling consumer experience and a better performing product in the marketplace."

 

"The decision to shift a release date is never an easy one, especially with a product as highly anticipated as BioShock 2," added Take-Two CEO Ben Feder. "We felt that it was essential to invest the additional time to ensure that this title will deliver what its fans expect and deserve."

 

More details on the shift will be provided later today.

 

Update: BioShock 2 will be released within the first half of the 2010 calendar year, Take-Two CEO Ben Feder clarified during a conference call.
