Ubuntu gutsy beta οι πρώτες εντυπώσεις

To compiz-fusion δεν έχει καμία σχέση με αυτό που είχα δοκιμάσει στο feisty.Στο gutsy είναι σταθερό,ταχύτατο και μπορείς να το έχεις συνέχεια ενεργοποιημένο χωρίς τίποτα σημαντικά προβλήματα.

Νομίζω ότι με τη συνδρομή της AMD, πλέον υπάρχουν και αξιόλογοι drivers για ATI

Σε λίγες μέρες θα υπάρχουν ανοικτού κώδικα οδηγοί για τις ΑΤΙ με την στροφή της ΑΤΙ, αλλά δεν θα υποστηρίζουν αμέσως τα πρότυπα που απαιτούνται για προχωρημένα πράγματα, όπως πχ. Compiz Fusion. Στους επόμενους μήνες αυτό.

 

Παρόλα αυτά είναι πολύ εύκολο πλέον και με ΑΤΙ να έχεις τα εφέ στο 7.10.

Στο gutsy από τι ξέρω πλεον όχι μόνο σου βάζει τους official driver της ati αλλά σου βάζει και το xgl από μόνο του ώστε να τρέξεις το compiz-fusion.Πάντως το xgl σε λίγες μέρες δεν θα είναι ούτε αυτό αναγκαίο μια και βγαίνουν οι επόμενοι ati driver που θα υποστιρίζουν aiglx.

Χθές ανέβηκε και η τελευταία έκδοση του compiz-fusion 0.6.Δυστυχώς στην έκδοση για ubuntu δεν υπάρχει τo 3d windows εφε.Αλλο ένα πρόβλημα είναι ότι το bug στο kubuntu με το encoding σε μερικά προγράμματα παραμένει.

Έχω xgl και drivers ati open source σε acer laptop, με gutsy αλλά και feisty παλιοτερα. Μπορεί να μου πει κάποιος αν όταν κανει hibernate, κολλάει το λειτουργικό, βλέπει μαύρη οθόνη με δρομέα, και δε γινεται τπτ? Μου σπάει τα νεύρα, γιατί στο feisty πες δεν ήταν προεγκατεστημένα, σε gutsy όμως γιατί ρε παιδιά? Μόνο εγώ το παθαίνω?

ati και 3ddesktop δεν είναι ο καλήτερος συνδιασμός ιδίως με xgl.Περίμενε λίγες μέρες να βγεί ο νέος ati driver που θα έχει τέτοια υποστήριξη.

Μετά το χθεσινοβραδινό update το kubuntu πάει σφαίρα.Νομίζω ότι είναι η καλήτερη έκδοση που έχω δοκιμάσει μέχρι στιγμής.

Να ρωτήσω ρε παιδιά κάτι. Στο site λένε στις 18.10 αλλά έχουν ήδη τα links για download, είναι beta (ή κάτι ανάλογο) ή τα κανονικά; Να περιμένω δηλαδή 5 μέρες;

Αυτή τη στιγμή κατεβάζεις την Release Candidate έκδοση. Δηλαδή περάσαμε το beta στάδιο και είμαστε στην έκδοση που θα είναι 99% όμοια με την final (18-10).

Από τι είδα στο kde μπήκαμε στην έκδοση 3.5.8
