This has been without doubt a remarkable first outing for the new FireGL Card from AMD. Kαλά, αντικειμενικότατο άρθρο!!! Στα μισά benchmarks βγάζει την V3600 ταχύτερη της V7200 αλλά και αν δεις άλλο review του ίδιου site, την βγάζει ταχύτερη και από Quadro 4500 & 4600!!!! Μία κάρτα των 130-150 ευρώ! Που μου βγάζει πίνακα στο Viewperf και έχει ρίξει στο "maya test" στην Quadro 4600 (που αμφότερες έχουν 384bit memory bus έναντι 128 και με τρελλές διαφορές σε fill rate) ούτε λίγο ούτε πολύ 48 δευτερόλεπτα ταχύτερης επεξεργασίας! Και μάλιστα ο συνολικός χρόνος είναι 110'' για την V3600 και 158'' για την Quadro 4600! Για όνομα του Θεού δηλάδή!!!!

Eίπαμε "aggressive pricing" αλλά μην μας δουλέυει ο κάθε άσχετος τώρα (ο χαρακτηρισμός πάει στον reviewer προφανώς, και όχι στον tmjuju)! Λίγο έλεος ζητώ από το Θεό!

Ε όχι και τέτοια conclusions για την μικρότερη σειρά OpenGL καρτών της Αti! Γιατί τα λέω αυτά; Γιατί άμα δεις Nvidia Quadro εν δράσει θα καταλάβεις!

 

Βέβαια για να είμαι και δίκαιος, σε mid-range τιμές η ΑΤΙ έχει περισσότερες και οικονομικότερες λύσεις από την Nvidia, αλλά δεν είναι και τόσο αποδοτικές σε OpenGL σε σχέση με τον ανταγωνισμό, και βασικά ποτέ δεν ήταν. Το κόστος μίας V3300 για παράδειγμα είναι πολύ χαμηλό (140 ευρώ) αλλά σε απόδοση.. άστα. Η 3600 πάει κάπως καλύτερα, αλλά τα σχόλια του άρθρου θα τα χαρακτήριζα -το λιγότερο- παραπλανητικά!

Το R600 σαν gpu έχει δυνατότητες καλές, αλλά γενικώς η Νvidia έχει μεγαλύτερη εμπειρία σε OpenGL λόγω των OpenGL extensions που τα έχει κάνει developing για αρκετό καιρό τώρα.

 

Για mid-range δεν είναι άσχημη, αλλά με τέτοιο κόστος παίρνεις μία καλή κάρτα προσανατολισμένη στα games η οποία θα αποδώσει μάλλον καλύτερα από την V3600 σε 3D Apps και ούτε συζήτηση βέβαια πως θα πηγαίνει στα ganes.

Για 'μένα δεν αξίζει να αγοράζει κανείς κάρτες για επαγγελματική 3d χρήση σε τέτοια κατηγορία κόστους.
