kostacurtas Δημοσ. 13 Ιουνίου 2008 Δημοσ. 13 Ιουνίου 2008 Prototypeʼs Multiplayer May Make It After All, Says Radical Speaking to videogaming247, Radical Entertainment executive producer Tim Bennison has said that the developer is “evaluating” Prototypeʼs multiplayer: it may make the game after all. Benninson said in March that multiplay had been cut from the Vivendi action game. “Weʼre trying to create the best possible single player experience,” the producer told us this week. “Itʼs an origin story and if we are successful, weʼre hoping itʼs the start of a franchise. “But to do this, youʼve got to establish a great core single player experience. Having said that, we are still evaluating multiplayer to see if we can make it work in our development schedule.” Vivendi confirmed that the game - a promising open-world, super-mutant affair - had been pushed back into 2009 at the beginning of May, having originally planned a year-end release. Maybe the extra months mean extra features. Fingers crossed.
kostacurtas Δημοσ. 19 Ιουνίου 2008 Δημοσ. 19 Ιουνίου 2008 Interview: Prototypeʼs Tim Bennison Prototypeʼs been under the news communityʼs watchful eye since Games Convention 2007. The Radical action game spiked interest at the German show with what looked to be a promising mix of super-mutant, gore and open world, leaving those privy to the showing with Prototype highly-placed on Christmas 2008 wish-lists. This year hasnʼt been quite so kind to the project, however. First came news in March that multiplayer had been axed, with confirmation of a slip into 2009 following in early May. The gameʼs surface temperature may have dipped a little, but the coreʼs still hot. Prototypeʼs executive producer, Tim Bennison, took time out to detail what makes his title special, reveal that multiplay still may make it and explain why Alex Mercerʼs bloody fight is one of the most progressive third-person free-roamers in development today...
