Epic boss: consoles will choke PC gaming for years

DirectX 10, Microsoft's multimedia and graphical videogaming anchor, arrived with the firm touting another forward shift in the kind of aesthetical wizardry we could soon be seeing from PC games, but Epic Games' vice president has told CVG that he reckons developers and publishers aren't going to wholeheartedly jump into bed with the technology for a number of years yet.

 

The easy (if expensive) upgrading of PC technology will always give it the edge over consoles, but with Rein suggesting that home consoles will stifle the progress of the platform over the next few years... how will the PC gaming landscape pan out?
