First DMC4 playable Dante gameplay footage

 

 

Capcom has released the first gameplay footage of Dante from Devil May Cry 4. If you don't know, the protagonist featured so far is in fact Nero, though he bears a striking resemblance to Dante. Among other things, Dante has duel-wielded pistols, which are so popular with the kids these days. The clip is very short, but it does showcase some pretty nifty maneuvers for Dante. We like the upside down, spiraling double guns in particular. Check out the video and a new gallery after the break.

During Capcom’s 2007 Fiscal Year results meeting Kazuhiko Abe, Director and Managing Corporate Officer, mentioned in his keynote speech Devil May Cry 4 is projected to sell 1.8 million copies worldwide. To put this number in perspective Capcom expects Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition to sell 420,000 copies worldwide and Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles to sell 620,000 units. Capcom is banking a lot on the success on Devil May Cry 4, it is expected to sell nearly three times as much as Umbrella Chronicles.

 

Will Devil May Cry pull it off? Two out of three games in the series were great and the other was a major flop. However, Devil May Cry 2 still managed to get in the hands of over a million gamers. Since Devil May Cry 4 is multiplatform Capcom has a decent shot of making Devil May Cry 4 the most profitable installment in the series yet.

Devil May Cry χωρίς τον Dante γίνεται;

Αφού είδαμε και βιντεάκι από gameplay, αλλά οι κινήσεις φαίνονται ίδιες περίπου με του 3. Όπως λέει πιο πάνω στο post του Xrest

Αυτό το upside down, spiraling double guns move πάντως, τό είχε και στο 3 (και πιο πριν με το Gunslinger στυλ. Το καλό όπως δείχνει το βίντεο είναι πως αντί σαν το 3 να διαλέγεις διαφορετικό στυλ από τα options, θα μπορείς την ώρα που παίζεις με κουμπί να αλλάζεις. Πιο λογικό από το έμπα-βγες.

Devil May Cry 4 is the second sequel (Devil May Cry 3 being a prequel) to the Capcom horror-action game Devil May Cry. It was announced in March 2007 that the game would be released simultaneously for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.[4] It is being developed by Capcom Production Studio 4, the producers of Resident Evil 4 and the original Devil May Cry.[5] In the game, the player controls Nero, a new character, in addition to an appearance by series lead Dante, fighting demonic enemies in close combat using firearms, swords and a variety of weaponry in a gothic setting. Also joining the cast is a new female character, Kyrie.

US, July 12, 2007 - Capcom's Gamer's Day build of Devil May Cry 4 could be the most overused disc in the history of videogame tradeshows. Yes friends, the same version of DMC4 that was on display at the Publisher's media event in April and itsAustralian press tour in June was also on hand at Capcom's Santa Monica-based Shutters hotel room.

 

With that much face time, there are two obvious questions: 1.) Who else is going to see it before we get a new version to you around with, and 2.) When will Capcom give us some new levels to toy around with?

 

The answer to number one is, "the rest of the world." In case you missed it during Microsoft's Tuesday press conference, Capcom will be releasing a DMC4 demo very similar to this one (if not the same one) on Xbox Live sometime before the final version is released. The company is considering a PSN demo as well, but nothing has been finalized.

 

Answer number two is the expected, "Leipzig or Tokyo Game Show." Unfortunately, that's about all the information we could get, other than the fact that the next version we'll see will likely be for the Xbox 360 instead of the PS3 (so far, the game has only ever been shown on PlayStation 3 hardware).
