Cue Δημοσ. 18 Απριλίου 2001 Δημοσ. 18 Απριλίου 2001 Το κάνω copy/paste από το forum που το έγραψα στα αγγλικά γιατί μέχρι να το ξαναγράφω ελληνικά....<P>--------------------------------------------<BR>My Hardware Description:<P>Celeron 533A Abit BE6 II BIOS ID = QJ with the HPT366 controller BIOS VER: 1.21<BR>WD Caviar 10.2 GB EIDE AC310200<BR>WD Expert 20.5 GB EIDE WD205BA<P><BR>While trying to install the Win2k OS with pressing the F6 key and selecting the right<BR>HPT366 drivers, the Win2K hanged after the part saying: <BR>"Starting Windows 2000 ..." (the h.d. kept spinning on and off).<P><BR>Also, i have tried to install the drivers on an existing Win2K system and<BR>the Device Manager showed that the "Highpoint Technology Inc.Hpt366 Ultra DMA 66 Controller" drivers are<BR>installed correctly on the system and everything seemed to be right.<BR>But, after switching the cables from the normal IDE to the UDMA 66 channel <BR>(changing the cable types ofcourse), the Win2k started to load and hanged in the middle of the <BR>loading process. The led of the H.D. said that the H.D. kept spinning on and off and nothing happened,the system just hanged with the Win2k OS loading logo and bar stuck in the middle of the loading progress.<P>Any ideas ?<P>Please let me know if u have managed to solve this on ur machine.<BR>Do not just say install latest drivers etc etc.Ive been trhough that a lot!<P>PS.Ive tried all the version of bios (except 1.28 beta)<BR>PS2.Ive tried the following drivers (1.20, 1.22, 1.23, 1.251) except 1.28 beta.<BR>--------------------------------------------<P>------------------<BR>The Bits Control The Atoms<p>[This message has been edited by Cue (edited 18-04-2001).]
