Τo Wii στα 240 ευρώ απο το Πλαίσιο, αλλά μονο με παραγγελία μέσω ίντερνετ.

 

Μακάρι να γίνει και μείωση τιμής απο την Nintendo ενοψει γιορτών. Θα έδινε ώθηση στις πωλήσεις του μηχανήματος. Ο ανταγωνισμός ανάγκασε τη SONY να βγάλει καινούρια έκδοση του PS3 (40 GB) στα 400 ευρώ (ελπίζω να έχει και αυτήν την τιμή στην Ελλάδα, αλλά φοβάμαι για καπέλο!).

 

Aυτά για οσους βλέπoυν ανταγωνιστικά τα δύο μηχανήματα. Εγώ που δεν τα βλέπω θα περιμένω μπας και του χρόνου πέσει και άλλο η τιμή του PS3 και το αγοράσω.

Final Fantasy, Pokemon Set for Wii Ware

 

Nintendo Japan called the Japanese press together today to outline its upcoming strategy for the Japanese market. Playing a big role in that strategy is, it seems, network-based gaming.

 

At the center of Nintendo's network plans is the Wii Ware service. The download service, which, unlike its counterpart Virtual Console service, consists of new games, will see some major support from the likes of Square Enix, Namco, and Nintendo itself.

 

From Square Enix comes Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Chiisa na Ousama to Yakusoku no Kuni (The Young King and the Promised Land). Exclusively available for Wii Ware, the point of this game is tobuild up your own country. Service will begin in March over in Japan.

 

Nintendo will be supporting the service with Pokemon Bokujou (Pokemon Farm in English). This game lets you transfer your Pokemon over from Pearl and Diamond. You can then raise your little friends in a farm-like environment.

 

Other titles for the service include Star Soldier R, Mojipittan Wii and Doctor Mario. Mojipittan is Bandai Namco's popular word puzzle game that has made waves on the DS and PSP. Star Soldier and Doctor Mario appear to be new entries in their respective franchises, although details were not provided.

 

Nintendo is also beefing up other areas of the Wii's networking service. The Wii Vote channel will be updated in the future. Players will be able to rank games and make use of search features to find games that suit them.

 

Demo downloads are also on the way. Similar to DS Station retail kiosks, gamers will now be able to download demos in their home. It's unclear if this is for Wii games, DS games, or both.

 

Nintendo is also hoping to target the very core of internet use: that pesky internet connection. To make sure no one is left behind, the company will be opening up a counseling center that will help users hook up their Wii to the internet. Nintendo will also offer networking equipment and home installation.

 

 

 

Monster Hunter 3 Set For Wii

 

With its two PSP entries now above the million mark in sales, Capcom's Monster Hunter series has established itself as one of Japan's favorite franchises. And now, it's coming to Japan's favorite console.

 

At a press conference held in Japan today, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata announced that Monster Hunter 3 will be coming to the Wii. Aside from this, details were not provided. A release date is currently undecided.

 

The third numbered entry in Capcom's million selling franchise was previously announced for the PS3, but was never shown. The PS3 version of the game is currently number 5 on the Famitsu most wanted list.

 

It's unclear if the announcement of a Wii version means the PS3 version has been canned, or if you'll be able to hunt monsters on your platform of choice. Following the press conference, Capcom released a statement formally announcing the game as a Wii title. However, it did refer to the Monster Hunter franchise as being part of its multiplatform strategy.

Itʼd be nearly impossible – and terribly boring – to try and cover every aspect of MLB Power Pros; thereʼs simply too much here. Rather than rattle on about the insane amount of options, seemingly never-ending ability to customize and tweak every facet of the game, and pile of modes included in the $40 package weʼd rather you just go out and play it. Whether you rent it, buy it, or steal it, MLB Power Pros is worth playing, as itʼs easily one of the most in-depth baseball games weʼve ever played, be it MLB The Show, the Major League Baseball 2K series, or the like, and by far one of the deepest games on Wii as far as modes, options, and pure entertainment value. Itʼs a shame that more of the game couldnʼt become Wii-ized this time around, as the game is best played with a classic controller or GCN controller, but what Wii integration is there works great, allowing you to play full games with your Mii characters, and pit them against visiting Miis via controller memory or real-life MLB teams.

 

The gameplay is arcade-like and simplistic, but still a strong enough balance of pure pitching, fielding, and batting. You arenʼt losing the control you get in new MLB games; youʼre just loosing the complicated feel of more recent next-generation controls that – quite frankly – donʼt need to be there. Baseball doesnʼt need guess pitch systems, golf-meter sliding bars, or overly-intricate base running to be good. MLB Power Pros balances simple, classic controls with tons of customization, a fun-loving style, and more bang for your buck than the majority of sports games out there. Itʼs hands-down the best baseball game on Wii, and a no-brainer for sports fans.
