Here are the 1st informations we have on this game:

Chris Kohler feedback

12:00 -- Time to talk about the Wii version, the "new challenge." They show the first screenshots of the Winning Eleven game for Wii. "The new game and the conventional game is merged," he says. No real details about how it'll work, but the screen will have large circles and big arrows around the players, showing where the ball will go. The camera viewpoint seems in some cases to be set behind the backs of the players you're controlling.

They hope to tell us more about this game this winter. Global launch in the spring of 2008.

1up feedback

Read from bottom to top:

12:02: Shane: It comes out globally in spring 2008. The gameplay is meant to be more 'off the ball,' whatever that means.

12:01: Mark: He's talking about how the Wii is a chance to do something completely new with the series. They intentionally put someone new in charge of the Wii version to make sure it was something new.

Ah, here are the screens. Looks....ok, PS2-ish, I guess?

Shane: Actually, I think it looks really good for Wii. Because the ps3/360 ones don't look to hot, this really isn't that different at first glance...not as hi-rez.

11:58: Shane: Whoa, in Winning Eleven you can now pull on other guys' jerseys. That's cool.

Mark: Is it? I'll take your word for it, I'm not much of a soccer fan. Graphics do look pretty good in these 360 screens though, the character customization system especially.

Shane: Though the characters still look kind of stylized. Ah, it's coming to America in spring...

Mark: Now on to the Wii. Here's hoping they use the Mii's!

TGS 2007: No More Heroes Hands-on

Suda 51's latest Wii project's one cool action title.

TGS 2007: Dragon Blade: Wrath of Fire Hands-on

Great swords of fire! Get a taste of this red-hot Wii game.

We got to try out a few of his moves, and the Wii does some amazing flame effects in the process. The whip, which transforms the blade into a flaming, Balrog-esque whip does great distance damage; summoning flaming wings lets you take to the air when you jump with Z. Fiery dragon arms are the most spectacular, in our opinion. By pressing the corresponding D-pad assignment, two flaming arms sprout around your own, and swiping with both the remote and the nunchaku is necessary to get both arms slashing. The result is a mighty pounding and clawing that looks as impressive as it is effective of clearing the room.

The final part of our demo was an encounter with a half-dragon, half-human who looked like a scaly version of Two Face from Batman. Though he cleaned the floor with us, the in-game cutscene showed some surprisingly good animation and character design, given how generic the main character is.

"Dragon Blade may end up being a bit of a sleeper hit when it eventually makes it to shelves. It's got a lot going for it and the TGS build was pretty swell - it's the kind of game that we suspect a) the Wii needs (that is, serious action games), and B) requires a bit of learning and practice before jumping straight into play. There are hints of true A-class quality, but it'll take a little while more before we're totally hooked. Stay tuned."

TGS 2007: Project O is On the Way

Realtime strategy's coming from Marvelous Entertainment.

In Project O, the story follows a young lad just minding his own business, until a Don Quixote character marches up, thrusts a crown on his head, and calls him king. Now that he's got a crown on his head, the townsfolk are simply content with the knowledge that the kid is king, and now blindly follows his orders. As Kimura points out, "that's the power of the crown." So now it's up to the player to rule, improve, and defend the land in a very unique real-time strategy game that's admittedly influenced by games such as Civilization and Pikmin.

TGS 2007: Ghost Squad Hands-on

Even though we played a lot of Ghost Squad, we still couldn't resist wielding the Wii weapon one more time. Lots of on-rails arcade-style shooting - tons to blast, both good guys and bad guys, with the added element of trying to rescue innocents by "locking" onto them for a few short seconds with the nunchuck trigger.

The Wii version promises a lot more on top of what was already in the arcade shooter, including several extra modes like an option that turns enemies into scantily clad bikini babes where you shoot them with a water pistol. Seriously. That's in the game. The producer told us at the show. Makes you want to play the game now, doesn't it?
