Confirmed: No online play for Metroid Prime 3

 

Michael Kelbaugh, the president and CEO of Retro Studios has confirmed to Gamepro that Metroid Prime 3: Corruption for the Wii will not feature any sort of online multiplay option. Kelbaugh implied that the lack of online play support was due to limited resources and a desire from the team to deliver the best possible single person experience.

Michael Kelbeugh: No. It's something we talked about early on, but we only have so many resources. We opted to devote those resources to making a better single-player experience.

 

What are the biggest differences between Metroid Prime 3: Corruption and the previous two Metroid Prime games?

 

It's got to be the controls. The integration of the controls with the Wii controller is a phenomenal difference, and a dramatic improvement in the experience as a whole.

 

How difficult was it to figure out how the controls would work?

 

When we first saw the Wii controller, our game director Mark Pacini was really concerned about being able to take all the controls we used in Metroid Primes 1 and 2 - because, really, you use every single button in those games - and morph them into the Wii controller. So we spent a tremendous amount of time making that as seamless and as intuitive as possible. And I think we accomplished that. I think we did a really good job , so that you can pick the Remote and Nunchuk up and not be intimidated.

The latest Mario Party is the fastest-selling entry in the series yet.

 

Today Nintendo proudly announced that Mario Party 8 is the fastest-selling entry in the long-running party game series yet. Since its release on May 29, the game has sold more than 550,000 copies in the United States alone. A classic example of a discrepancy between critics and consumers, Mario Party 8 has an average review score of 6.4, according to GameStats.

 

"The overwhelming response not only reminds us how much fans absolutely love the Mario Party franchise but also proves the unmatched ability of the Wii system to attract new players," says George Harrison, Nintendo of America's senior vice president of marketing and corporate communications. "Wii users are keeping the Mario Party going strong."

 

Mario Party 8 takes the social, strategic gameplay of board games and adds breaks for quick, action-oriented minigames. In the main mode, players travel across six boards in search of Stars, landing on spaces that are helpful or a hindrance. Up to four players can compete simultaneously.

Seven more days without Samus.

 

The title was formerly set for an August 20 debut and now it will release stateside on August 27, which means we'll have to wait seven more very long days for the return of Samus.

Πέρα από την πλάκα ο κολλητός μου πήρε Xbox360 για το GW! Τόσο κολλημένος! Ήταν κάθε μεσημέρι σπίτι μου

Πέρα από την πλάκα ο κολλητός μου πήρε Xbox360 για το GW! Τόσο κολλημένος! Ήταν κάθε μεσημέρι σπίτι μου

 

Βέβαια, δεν έμεινε εκεί

 

Καλά είναι πολύ καλό arcade, δε το συζητάω, και πολύ καλή χρήση του dual stick. Και στο Wii με το Wii-mote θα είναι καλή φάση.

 

Εγώ πάντως πάνω από 5 λεπτά δεν έχω καταφέρει να το παίξω. Μετά από λίγο αρχίζω και βλέπω αστεράκια

Βασικά το παιχνίδι έχει επανασχεδιαστεί σε τέτοιο βαθμό και έχουν προστεθεί τόσα πολλά πράγματα ώστε να λένε ότι το Geometry Wars στο XBOX είναι σαν demo του Galaxies.

When we first played Geometry Wars on Xbox 360, we were instantly hooked. Now that the franchise is on its way to Wii, we couldn't be happier, as the design is getting a complete overhaul for Nintendo's console, complete with far more modes, over double the amount of enemies (10 from the original game, plus 12 new ones), and a unique upgradeable "drone" unit to help kick the crap out of baddies. There's far more in Galaxies than we ever expected the Wii version to have, and we're dying to play more.

το ιδιο αρθρο αναφερει οτι το wiimote δεν λεει οσο το dual analog για το geometry wars, κατι που ειναι εντελως φυσιολογικο. (οποτε εχετε το υπ'οψην σας)

επισης ελπιζω τα εξτρα να μπορεσουν να δωσουν αρκετο value for money στο πακετο.

Το παιχνίδι είναι τουλάχιστον 60 φορές μεγαλύτερο από το original + το original για download στο DS σου.

 

Οπότε 60 Χ όσο έκανε στο XBOX marketplace.

 

Αν κοστίζει λιγότερο, ακόμα καλύτερα

προφανως θα ειναι και 60 φορες καλυτερο

 

τελικα ειναι full price ή καπου στη μεση?
