First Wii Demo Booth Shots

 

Some photos of the first Wii public demonstration booths have hit the net, demonstrating the gorgeous console in action with the release of the machine in two weeks time in the US.

 

Thanks to Gaming Bits who took some stills of the unit in a local GameStop store in South Florida.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Certainly set to attract many consumers with a sexy glowing backlight and incredibly small sized hardware.

Wii to support custom soundtracks?

 

A screenshot from the upcoming Wii racer, Excite Truck, seems to indicate that custom soundtracks will be allowed on the Wii. Check it out for yourself:

 

 

 

 

The screen is of Excite Truck's sound menu, which has the basic music and sound settings, plus another: SD Card. This suggests that MP3s from an SD card will be playable in-game, much like the similar feature available on the Xbox and Xbox 360. Note that such a feature was previously confirmed for the Wii interface, but not yet for an actual game like Excite Truck. Says Nintendo president Satoru Iwata in one of the ubiquitous "Ask Iwata" interviews:

 

"Another thing which people have really enjoyed is the Slide Show function. This allows you to play music as the console automatically displays your pictures in turn. If you put MP3 files in your SD Card, you can have your favourite songs as background music to your Slide Show."

The graphics processor (code-named "Hollywood") will use an ATI chipset running at 243Mhz with 3 MB of texture memory. It might also have 32 shader pipelines -- 16 fewer than the Xbox 360. However, the Nintendo GPU is rumored to run at 500 million triangles per second (100 million sustained) -- roughly equivalent to the Xbox 360. It will also be able to handle 50 billion shader operations per second, which is about the same as the 360 as well.

 

If Nintendo pulls it off, the Wii console will have all the firepower of Xbox 360 and much simpler architecture that makes life easier for software developers.

Εγώ πάντος άλλο βιντεο απο Ζελντα και άλλα παιχνιδια δε βλέπω, ότι είδα είδα.Τερμα.

 

Δε θα χάσω την πόρωση, να βάζεις το δισκάκι μέσα στο Wii και να λέει Ζελντα να βλέπεις την εισαγωγή για πρώτη φορά.

 

Ελπιζω να με καταλαβαίνετε. Ενταξει, δε λέω να μη δω βιντεο άλλη φορά αλλά 1-2 αρκούν για να πάρεις γραμμή πως είναι το παιχνίδι

Virtual Console: Secrets exposed

Nintendo has revealed some of the secrets behind their Virtual Console service.

 

Newly revealed information on Virtual Console for Wii

 

- Games can be downloaded to the Wii's internal memory or SD card, the console logs all downloads so if you have to delete a file, you can download it for free at a later date.

- VC games are locked to the console that they have been downloaded on.

- The classic controller can not be used for Gamecube games.

- All virtual console titles can be played via the classic controller or GC pad.

- Each VC title will come with a digital instructions manual.

- 2,000 point cards will only be available to begin with.

- You can buy Wii VC points online via a credit card.

Ότι κάνει δουλειά, κάνει και πολύ μάλιστα.

 

Εξαρτάται από την όρεξή σου. Αν θές την πάς σιγανά, απλώς για να χαλαρώσεις και να αυξήσεις τις αντοχές των μυών σου. Έτσι μπορείς να την στριφογυρνάς με τις ώρες (με 3000 - 4000 στροφές).

 

Αλλά αν θές να γυμναστείς έντονα ή να σπάσεις το ρεκόρ σου, σε 30 δευτερόλεπτα το χέρι σου δεν θα το αισθάνεσαι από την κούραση (που λέει ο λόγος).

 

Από κεί και πέρα, όπως με όλα τα όργανα γυμναστικής που έχουμε στο σπίτι (όσοι έχουμε), μπορεί να ασχοληθείς μερικές μέρες και μετά να το βαρεθείς.

 

Εγώ το έχω κάνει συνήθεια. Όποτε αράζω στην ΤV, εναλλάσω την μπάλλα στα χέρια μου, και την παίζω (την Powerball) με τις ώρες.

 

Εγώ έχω την Powerball Neon Blue Pro (όπως στην φώτο που πόσταρα), που έχει γαλάζια LEDs και έχει φάση αν το δωμάτιο είναι σκοτεινό.

Need for Speed Carbon

One of the big surprises for us at the Nintendo World event in Nagoya today was EA's Need For Speed Carbon. First, we're not used to seeing American games debut in Japan. It just feels strange. But more importantly, we were pleasantly surprised with how well the Wii controls work with the multiplatform racer.

 

 

Mario Party 8

While you might be wondering if there's really a need for another Mario Party, the use of the Wiimote may justify a purchase at least one more time. The game is also given a breath of fresh air with visuals that are markedly improved over their GameCube counterparts.

 

 

Virtual Console

 

* Games that are downloaded can be stored either to the Wiiʼs internal memory (512MB) or onto SD cards.In addition the console also stores a history of all of your downloads so that if you have to delete any VC games for any reason you could re-download them for free at a later date.

 

 

* All VC games will be locked to the console they are downloaded on so even if they are on an SD card they canʼt be used on other machines.

 

* All virtual console games can be played using the Classic Controller or Nintendo GameCube pads. The Wii Remote can also be turned on its side and used as a traditional controller to play NES games. However, a game will only be playable with the control mechanism it was designed for. So, for example, you will play NES games with the D-pad, not an analogue stick or motion-sensitive functionality.

 

* Each Virtual Console game downloaded will come with a digital instruction manual.

Είναι σε προοπτική πρώτου προσώπου, και ελέγχεις απόλυτα το μπρός και το πίσω, αλλά δεν μπορείς να στρίψεις, παρά μόνο σε σημεία όπου ο δρόμος διακλαδώνεται.
