Excite Truck 2 Revealed - Screens

 

One of the Wii's launch titles is already getting a sequel as developer Monster Games confirmed it is working on Excite Truck 2.

The sequel, scheduled for late 2007, will feature online multiplayer racing for up to 6 players, compatible with your Mii, the ability to upgrade your vehicle, and plenty of new locations (such as the moon).

Lonely fraudsters with way too much time on their hands have put together a press release and screenshots of a supposedly incoming Excite Truck 2, which Nintendo has confirmed to CVG to be fake.

 

Shortly after the fraudulent press release was published on an industry website, we spoke to Nintendo who made clear that the news was not genuine.

 

"It seems to have stemmed from an unofficial source," said Nintendo. "We have not announced any sequel in the Excite Truck series."

 

The game promised to boast an online racing option, as well as race courses on the moon. It's a shame - that sounds pretty cool.

 

The fake screens cleverly spliced together are below, if you're interested. They look cool, too.

Mario Strikers Charged - 27 New Screens

 

Players can also utilise Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection Service to take on players from across the globe!

Multiplayer modes include Ranked mode where players can compete to climb up leaderboards and Unranked mode where they can quickly select and play friends.

Γμτ, δεν έχω καταλάβει κάτι: τα friend codes υπάρχουν και στο DS. Στο mario kart DS, μπορώ να επιλέξω να ΜΗ βάλω friend code και να παίξω με τυχαίους αντιπάλους.

 

Το online του Wii θα είναι σαν του DS ή θα έχει τη λογική "no friend codes=no party";

Απο οσα ξερουμε το online του Wii θα εχει ακριβως την ιδια λογικη με αυτη του DS.

 

Οποτε αν θελουμε θα μπορουμε να παιξουμε με τυχαιους αντιπαλους χωρις friend codes.

 

 

Απλα πολλοι ενοχλουνται απο τα friend codes καθως καθε παιχνιδι θα εχει δικο του ξεχωριστο κωδικο, κατι που δεν ειναι και πολυ βολικο για να παιζεις με συγκεκριμενους φιλους και οχι τυχαιους αντιπαλους.

ONE PIECE (of shit?) impressions

 

 

οι φιλοι του one piece ας μην εχουν αυξημενες προσδοκιες..

 

υστερα απο το εξαιρετικα μετριο σκορ του famitsu (28/40), ηρθαν και οι εντυπωσεις ενος φιλου μου στην ιαπωνια..

 

"το one piece ειναι μετριο στην καλυτερη."

 

το gameplay εχει ως εξης:

 

-πας σε ενα νησι.

-ψαχνεις να βρεις το orb point σε καθε περιοχη, και τι αντικειμενα χρειαζεται για να ενεργοποιηθει.

-βαρας λουλουδια και δεντρα σε ολο το νησι για να βρεις τα αντικειμενα.

-ενεργοποιεις το orb, πας σε αλλο μερος οπου εχει boss fight.

-προχωρας σε νεα περιοχη και επαναλαμβανεις τα παραπανω.

 

ενδιαμεσα σκανε cg cutscenes των 5 δευτερολεπτων που ειναι ασυνδετα με το gameplay. επισης σκανε καμια φορα και εχθροι την ωρα που βαρας λουλουδια-δεντρα

 

το καθεαυτου gameplay ειναι μετριο και παιδικο.

για να χτυπας χρησιμοποιεις συνεχεια την κινηση "πατας Α" μεχρι που σου ανοιγει την κινηση "πατας Α-Α', μετα "Α-Α-Α" κλπ. δηλ. κανεις συνεχεια την τελευταια κινηση που εχεις μεχρι να σου ανοιξει η επομενη.

 

τα γραφικα ειναι επαναλαμβανομενα και υπαρχει προβλημα με την καμερα στα platform sections.

επισης υπαρχει μονο ενα save point σε καθε area. και οχι retry.

 

δυστυχως αυτο που πολλοι φανταστηκαν σαν μια ευκαιρια για κατι special πραγματωθηκε σε κατι που θα το ελεγα χαμενη ευκαιρια και παιχνιδι για ..μπεμπηδες.

Nintendo's Profits up 77%

Company reaches "record highs" thanks to DS and Wii.

 

Nintendo of Japan has announced that profits in the last financial year have jumped by a staggering 77% thanks to strong sales of both the Nintendo DS and Wii.

 

Nintendo reported a group net profit of 174.29 billion Yen ($1.47 billion) in the last fiscal year, a huge profit rise 98.38 billion yen compared to a year earlier.

 

Sales of consoles, particularly the DS and Wii, rose by 90% to 966.53 billion Yen ($8.13 billion), compared to 509.25 billion Yen for the same period last year.

 

More than 23 million DS systems were sold, along with 123m games. Since its release in 2004, the DS has sold 40m units worldwide. Meanwhile, although it was only released at the end of 2006, the Wii put in a strong showing, selling 5.84m units worldwide and 29m games.

 

For the next financial year Nintendo projects sales of 14m Wii consoles, along with 55m games. Nintendo expects to shift 22m DS units and 130m DS games.

 

A spokesperson for Nintendo said: "Wii has taken a step toward becoming a cultural phenomenon, appealing widely to both avid and previously disinterested game-playing audiences."

καμια περιπτωση!

 

βασικα κυκλοφορησε το επισιμο pdf της nintendo.

δεν πιασανε παρα κατι τους στοχους των 6 εκατομμυριων,

και αν το συγκρινεις με το gamecube, το wii πουλησε οριακα καλυτερα στο ιδιο διαστημα.

 

εχει πουλησει καλυτερα απο το ps3, αλλα οχι απο το 360.
