Φίλε, το πιθανότερο αυτή η "εικονίτσα" που κατέβασες να είναι μια απλή εικονίτσα!! Είναι από το πρώτο fake video bootloader που κυκλοφόρησε πριν τη νέα χρονιά. Nintendo's self-imposed restriction on online gaming has been a burden to many who want to play with their friends without having to share a different 12-digit friend code for every game. When the Wii was revealed to have a console-specific friend code, we thought Nintendo had somewhat listened to the community's grumblings. When Pokemon Battle Revolution, the first online Wii title, launched in Japan with friend codes, we realized the folly of our optimism. Square Enix's Senior Vice President Hiromichi Tanaka empathizes, highlighting the friend code system as the primary reason they haven't brought an online game like Final Fantasy XI onto the console. In an interview with Cubed's Adam Riley, Tanaka reveals that the RPG powerhouse is now in negotiations with Nintendo about "resolving this point of contention." A publisher of Square Enix's magnitude does not necessarily guarantee Nintendo will listen, but perhaps Nintendo will ease off or at least allow exceptions for some titles. Then again, Final Fantasy XI on the Wii would surely be profitable even if gamers were required to enter over 300,000 12-digit codes to fully experience the world. That's how much, we suspect, Wii owners our clamoring for Nintendo to join the rest its brethren in this generation. [update 1: As White Rose Duelist and others have pointed out, Pokemon Battle Revolution's extra friend code might be an exception and not a rule, and Elebits is a cited example where one can exchange in-game pictures with Wii friends. As if Konami wasnʼt busy enough flooding us Nintendo fans with great projects of their own, they are now teaming up with Hudson to bring three games to the US. Kororinpa Marble Mania, Honeycomb Beat, and Wing Island will all be published by Konami in the US. The titles are due out this Spring, no official dates just yet. I think Konami is diggin the Nintendo scene just a tad! How about you guys?! Iwata Cautious About Early Wii Success, Gamers may get bored of Wii Remote Swing And while the Japanese blog suggested that Nintendo might be able to regain the #1 position in the video game industry, Iwata immediately rebuked that notion, not necessarily because of the challenge the company faces against the likes of Sony and Microsoft, but because of the somewhat fickle interests of today's gamers. "That's not the case," Iwata said rebutting the idea that Nintendo would be #1 from 2007 forward. "So long as we continue the fight against the lack of interest in games from the general consumer, Nintendo will always be the challenger. For example, one challenge is in developing software that keeps people from saying they're no longer interested in swinging the Wiimote."

Eledees (Elebits) will be hitting European store shelves come April 18th. Hopefully our European readers are interested in the title, it really is worth your time. I have to ask…how do you Euro gamers feel about the name change? Elebits Devs: Wii is good hardware and very capable, much more possible IGN Wii: This is your second major Wii game. What do you think of the hardware so far? Mukaitoge: I truly feel that the Wii is good hardware. Normally in a game, you are forced to use just your two thumbs to move your character and perform actions, but the Wii incorporates 3D motion, which really opens up the possibilities of simultaneous actions. The Wii is a difficult system to develop a platformer for, but with Dewy's Adventure, we made some adjustments to take advantage of the system. The end game is a fun title that I can proudly recommend. IGN Wii: Do you think the Wii is capable of much more on both a control and graphics level than most developers are doing so far? Mukaitoge: I think Wii is very capable, and we can do much more with the system.
