Alone in the Dark Hands-on

Central Park at night is a scary place.

 

Atari wants everybody to beat Alone in the Dark. That includes everyone from the most casual gamer up through the core gamer. If you hadn't heard, that would encompass you and so you may be wondering how the company plans to meet this lofty goal. We are talking about a franchise that carries some significance as the father of survival horror, so pleasing everybody is no easy task. It remains to be seen how one of the publisher's big 2008 releases will ultimately turn out, but after getting our hands on the game at a recent showcase it's easy to see that Atari and Eden studios have taken steps in the right direction...

Alone in the Dark Screenshots Show DVD-style Menu

 

Atari has released a few new Alone in the Dark screens, one of which gives us a glimpse at the horror game's DVD-style, time-warping menu that was detailed last week.

 

The game will allow players to fast forward or rewind through its many "episodes," an attempt to keep the frustration of getting stuck on a puzzle to a minimum. Of course, the game will still require you to complete all of the basic content before moving on to the final levels.

 

Alone in the Dark is set for a June 24 release on PC, PlayStation 2, Xbox 360, and Wii.

Alone in the Dark uses SecuROM online protection - Minimum specs

 

Atari and Eden Gamesʼ Alone in the Dark for PC is certified Games for Windows and is compatible with Windows XP and Windows Vista operating systems.

 

The PC version of Alone in the Dark is protected using SecuROM™ online activation. This requires that in addition to the content on the game disk, players download an additional component via an internet connection in order to install and run the game. Once the game has been correctly installed and activated, it can be played whilst offline.

 

To install the game on a different computer, players must revoke the serial number when uninstalling from the first machine (this is an automatic option during the uninstall process).

Παντως τα πρωτα reviews, απο την εκδοση του XBOX 360, δεν ειναι και πολυ ενθαρρυντικα...

Οι Ρώσοι πως την έχουν δει; Έχουν μέσο σε όλες τις εταιρείες; Θυμάμαι και το Assassin's Creed είχε κυκλοφορήσει στα Ρώσικα 1-2 μήνες πριν τον υπόλοιπο κόσμο; Από που κι ως που τέτοιο βάρος στη συγκεκριμένη αγορά από τις εταιρείες;

Παιδια το εχω λιωσει ηδη στο 360 πραγματικα εχω εντυπωσιαστει....ειναι απιστευτο!!!!Αν ειστε λατρεις του ειδους δεν υπαρχει αλλη επιλογη...απιστευτο
