Ποτέ μην πάτε στη μάχη μόνοι σας! Το πολυαναμενόμενο 3rd person co-op shooter από την EA Montreal έφτασε. Η Electronic Arts Inc (NASDAQ: ERTS) ανακοίνωσε σήμερα ότι το ARMY OF TWO™ βρίσκετε στα καταστήματα. Το παιχνίδι θα είναι στα ράφια των καταστημάτων από τις 7 Μαρτίου στην Β. Αμερική και στην Ευρώπη. Το παιχνίδι θα κυκλοφορήσει για τα PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system και Xbox 360™ videogame and entertainment system και αποτελεί μια ολοκαίνουργια εμπειρία δράσης.

 

ΤΟ ARMY OF TWO επαναπροσδιορίζει το co-operative online gameplay καθώς οι παίκτες πλέον θα μπορούν να συνεργάζονται με ένα ζωντανό συμπαίκτη και όχι με έναν A.I. παρτενέρ. Οι παίκτες θα μάχονται online μέσα σε έξι αποστολές στο two-player co-op campaign mode. Επίσης, θα μπορούν να περηφανεύονται για το ποια ομάδα είναι η πιο θανατηφόρα σε two-on-two team μάχες που θα μπορούν οι παίκτες να δίνουν μεταξύ τους.

Many gamers would openly admit that a review score for a particular title has no real bearing on whether or not they will make the purchase. From a gamerʼs point of view, a review score is nothing more than one writerʼs own simple opinion, which does not by any means create a picture for how everyone will enjoy the game. From a business side however, things are different.

Publishers and even developersʼ alike takes review scores very seriously. After all, it is their long hours of hard work that is being judged and to a certain extent; scores could actually sway some of the sales numbers in their favor or against them. Many would say that 2007 was a year that belonged to both Nintendo and Microsoft with Sony sitting in the backseat.

 

However, with titles such as Uncharted, Heavenly Sword, Ratchet and Clank Future, Folklore, Unreal Tournament III, and Motorstorm, it is hard to see how many would think 2007 was a bad year for the PS3. For review scores in that year, it paints a very optimistic picture for Sony.

 

In 2007, Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) had an average review score of 77.9%, which placed them in the #1 position for the year in terms of review score average.

 

This is remarkable for Sony as it shows that the company continuous improved over 2006 where their average review score was 73.8% in the #5 spot behind Nintendo, Capcom, and LucasArts. Even 2006 itself was an improvement, as SCEA had an average review score of 73.4% in 2005.

 

With many titles for the PS3 this year expecting to be possible candidates for Game of the Year, 2008 could allow for Sony to grow yet again in relation to their review score, possibly breaking 80%.

roster, track list and a host of additional features for the April 17 North

American availability of Gran Turismo5 Prologue, exclusively on

PLAYSTATION®3 (PS3). Gran Turismo 5 Prologue is the latest

installment of the billion dollar selling racing franchise and intense

precursor to Gran Turismo5. Headlining the roster of over 60 vehicles

and 14 additional tuned cars is the Ferrari 599, the Nissan GT-R and the

Audi R8 4.2 FSI R Tronic. Players can race these cars and many more around

six meticulously rendered tracks, including Daytona International

Speedway®, London City track and a series favorite, High Speed Ring.

Furthermore, additional features will be available to North American

consumers, including a Drift Mode, Car Tuning, two-player split screen

racing and a new set of offline and online Race Events.

-- Drift Mode -- The player's drifting technique is measured based on

drift angles, racing lines, and speeds within evaluation zones located

at various turns on the course.

-- In Depth Car Tuning -- Players have the ability to adjust the

vehicle's performance, including power, weight, tires and suspension.

-- Two-player Split Screen Racing -- Allows players to race head-to-head

against friends and foes offline.

-- New Race Events -- New racing events and time trials are available for

players to race both offline and online. Gran Turismo 5 Prologue

supports up to 16 players racing online simultaneously.

 

Gran Turismo 5 Prologue will feature various innovative and

revolutionary modes to harness the PS3's capabilities while further

developing an automotive lifestyle and global community. Among them is Gran

TurismoTV, a new dedicated online channel available exclusively from

PLAYSTATION®Network that delivers worldwide motorsport programming and

manufacturer content. A new in-cockpit view features real-time gauges and

human animations that accurately represent the true performance and

handling of each vehicle. More dynamic and adjustable Artificial

Intelligence, a user homepage called My Page and a new physics engine round

out some of the other features players can expect in Gran Turismo 5

Prologue. To extend the realistic driving experience, Prologue is also

compatible with the new DUALSHOCK®3 wireless controller, which has

vibration functionality.

 

Gran Turismo 5 Prologue will be available for $39.99 SRP on Blu-ray
