Warhawk v1.1 patch coming tomorrow

 

Warhawk developer Dylan Jobe has confirmed that the highly awaited Warhawk v1.1 patch will be released tomorrow November 2nd, sometime between 5am and 9am pacific time.

Θα στο θέσω απλά:

1) Όσοι έχουν wii, κάθονται και παίζουν στον ελεύθερο χρόνο και δεν προλαβαίνουν να ασχολούνται με forum ώστε να δεις το κοινό.

2) Αρκετά παιχνίδια είναι ομαδικά, οπότε αντέχουν στον χρόνο και δεν βιάζονται να πάρουν νέα παιχνίδια.

40GB PS3 Disassembled - Blu-Ray Drive Firmware Dumped!

 

Our very own Courier has taken the plunge and cracked open his new 40GB PS3. Most of the hardware seems the same, the Blu-Ray drive components are also the same. Some components such as RAM, has been made by different manufacturers, but for the most part, the drive is identical to any other model drive.

 

While he was there, he also pulled the BGA flash of the Blu-Ray drive, which is encrypted, at least for now! It also seems that the Blu-Ray drive EEPROM has a unique per drive ID. More to come!

Θα μπορούσε να πει κανείς ότι ένας ακόμα ένας λόγος είναι ότι το Wii το πήραν πολλοί που δεν παίζουν πολλά games λόγω wiisports. Ή ακόμα ότι τι αρκετοί που έχουν κάποια από τις άλλες δύο κονσόλες. Όμως δεν είναι τραγικό το attach rate του Wii, απλά φαίνεται λίγο σε σχέση με του 360.

Famitsu reviews Assassin's Creed - 37/40

 

Popular Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu has conducted a final review on Assassin's Creed and has awarded it a super impressive score of 37/40 (results added up out of ten from four editors).

Sony's new 40GB PS3 still using old 90nm processors

 

It was reported a while ago that the new 40GB PS3 featured a 65nm processor, but Sony has told Heise Online that the 40GB SKU still uses the old 90nm processors. However, the new model does however feature a new design with lower power consumption (120 to 140 watts compared to 200 on older models). Sony is looking to go the 65nm way in the future but for now they are sticking at 90nm across all models.

Δεν κανουν τα γραφικα παντα το παιχνιδι, και η ευκολια χειρισμου και τα fun games του Wii κανουν την διαφορα,που πολλοι δεν περιμεναν...

 

 

Συμφωνω για τα γραφικα, αλλα αυτο το "ευκολια" μου καθεται καπως... Προσωπικα περισσοτερο κουραστικο το βρισκω παρα ευκολο οπως λες. Γυμναζεσαι κανονικα

 

Και τελος οχι δεν πιστευω οτι εχει χαμηλο attach rate γιατι το συγκρινω με το 360, αλλα γιατι το συγκρινω με το ποσα Wii εχουν πουληθει. Βαλτε στο μυαλο σας οτι μιλαμε για την κονσολα με τις περισσοτερες πωλησεις απο ολες τις αλλες αυτη την στιγμη!

Sony Corp to exit chip development deal with IBM, Toshiba - report

TOKYO, Nov 07, 2007 (Thomson Financial via COMTEX) -- SNE | charts | news | PowerRating -- Sony Corp, the world's second-largest consumer electronics maker, plans to withdraw from its basic research project with IBM Corp and Toshiba Corp to develop manufacturing technologies for next-generation semiconductor chips, the Nikkei reported on Wednesday.

 

The move follows the company's decision to sell Toshiba its production facility for the Cell microprocessor, used in the PlayStation 3 video game console, the business daily said.

 

Under the project, the three companies are researching and developing materials and technologies necessary for the manufacture of chips with line widths of 32 nanometers or narrower.

 

This project began in late 2005 and is scheduled to run until the end of 2010, the report said.

 

In addition, Sony plans to cancel capital investments in production facilities for the 45 nanometer or later generations of the Cell microprocessor, it said.
