The figure is three quarters of the total 220,000 UK launch stock for day one, and makes PS3 second only to PSP in the overall launch weekend sales stakes. The Sony handheld shifted 185,000 during its opening weekend back in September 2005. PS3ʼs record-breaking debut for a home console comfortably beats the previous top seller Nintendo Wii, which sold 105,000 after its frantic launch weekend in December last year. Fellow format rival Xbox 360 racked up an estimated 70,000 at launch in December 2005. The figure also means that Sony has not sold all of its opening weekend stock, something the platform holder claims is part of its overall strategy at retail. p3tran Δημοσ. 26 Μαρτίου 2007 Share Δημοσ. 26 Μαρτίου 2007 φιλε donagr, μιας και βλεπω οτι δεν εισαι ο μονος που σχολιαζεις σε λαθος βαση, ας το ξαναγραψω μια φορα: αν διαβασετε την <<ΑΝΑΛΥΣΗ>> της προηγουμενης σελιδας, θα δειτε οτι ΣΥΓΚΡΙΝΕΙ ΝΟΥΜΕΡΑ ΠΩΛΗΣΕΩΝ ΜΕΤΑΞΥ 360 ΚΑΙ PS3. στη συγκριση αυτη παιρνει το best seller του PS3, RESISTANCE και το συγκρινει ΣΕ ΠΩΛΗΣΕΙΣ με το PERFECT DARK. το σφαλμα ειναι οτι Best seller του 360 ΔΕΝ ΗΤΑΝ ΤΟ PERFECT DARK αλλα το CALL OF DUTY 2, το οποιο φυσικα και πουλησε ΠΟΛΥ παραπανω απο οτι εχει πουλησει το resistance στο αντιστοιχο διαστημα. η παραπανω παραπανω συγκριση ΠΩΛΗΣΕΩΝ τιτλων ειναι ΛΑΘΟΣ λοιπον, αφου παιρνει best seller απο τη μια κονσολα και το συγκρινει σε πωλησεις με (σχεδον) worst seller απο την αλλη κονσολα. ομως βοηθαει τον αρχικο συγραφεα της ερευνας να <<αποδειξει>> οτι το ps3 πουλαει καλα στην αμερικη σε αυτη την τελειως ΑΚΥΡΗ αναλυση. Εγώ προσωπικά έχω και 360 και Wii, θα πάρω και ps3... Και πορώθηκα με gears,Virtua Tennis 3,Pro6 στο 360, και απίστευτη πόρωση με τρελό χειρισμό και gameplay στο Zelda Wii, και πόρωση η F1 στο ps3 και blue ray,metal gear,ff12 που θα δω στο ps3... Ποιό είναι το πρόβλημά σας? Good news for PS3 owners, as it makes ports (and potential exclusivity) much more likely. Namco and Sony have a very friendly arcade relationship, with many of Namco's previous games, like Soul Calibur, Tekken and Time Crisis, running on PlayStation derived hardware. No other games were announced for the platform, but I've got my digits crossed hoping for the inevitable Rolling Thunder 3 and Knuckle Heads 2 unveilings. That makes PS3 the fastest-selling home console in history, beating the Wii - which shifted 105,000 units during its launch weekend - and Xbox 360, with 70,000 sold. Both Nintendo and Microsoft struggled to meet demand with their consoles, leading to stock shortages - but Sony previously stated that the UK would get around 220,000 of the 1 million PS3 units allocated to Europe for launch. Overall, the PlayStation 3 is the second fastest-selling piece of games hardware in history. That record still belongs to PlayStation Portable, with 185,000 units sold during the handheld's launch weekend. Adding to their ever growing list of gossip worthy items is this listing for Time Crisis 4 for the PS3. Allegedly, TC4 will hit the mighty black monolith on November 13, 2007. Just in time for a Turkey Day shoot-out! Going for the low, low price of $89.99, the game supposedly ships with a Guncon. If so, this is uber-cool. We've got our insiders at Namco sifting through the corporate garbage bins for some sort of confirmation. In the meantime, discuss amongst yourselves... and pray that this isn't an early April Fool's joke from the bored-to-tears web developers over at EBgames HQ. The page here shows 30,915 PS3 CPUs as responsible for 492 TFLOPS of processing. In comparison, some 162,197 Windows PCs manage some 154 TFLOPS of calculations. The site measures TFLOPS as the actual teraflops from the software cores, "not the peak values from CPU/GPU/PS3 specs" and notes that Active PS3s are defined as those which have returned WUs within two days.
