"Despite the good news out of GDC last week, it still seems like Sony's new console has some image management to do. CNET says that the PlayStation 3 is 'the most unwanted console in recent memory' and asks 'why is the PS3 so undesirable?' They specifically question the company's wisdom in emphasizing the power of the console. Their impression is that this invites developers to neglect gameplay, in favour of investing in graphics. Likewise, Gamespot is running a piece suggesting ten ways to make the PS3 worth buying. A lower price is just one of the suggestions with exclusives, and the need for online standardization, following close behind. Looks like Sony still has its work cut out."

καλα συγνωμη το παραπανω opinion υποτιθεται προερχεται απο επαγγελματιες δημοσιογραφους του χωρου; μας δουλευουν; τοσα χρονια δεν εχουν καταλαβει οτι το eye-candy ειναι απο τις κυριοτερες promotion δυναμεις για μια νεα κονσολα και το μελλον της;; και το raw power δεν συνοψιζεται στα γραφικα μονο,αλλα και σε αλλα εξισου σημαντικα μερη ενος gameplay οπως τα ai,interaction,physics,complexity ktl.

να λεμε τα κακως κειμενα για το πσ3 αλλα οχι να φτανουμε και σε τετοιες υπερβολες.ουτε ο γεωργιου δεν θα λεγε τετοιες μ...

WarHawk on Blu-ray after all

 

Last week we heard that WarHawk would be an online-only game, leading to speculation that the game would be offered for download via Sony's PlayStation Store.

 

 

Not so, says the American arm of SCE. "Officially, WarHawk will be released as a Blu-ray-based product. It will see release in late summer," the company told IGN.

 

The spokesperson also dismissed reports that Phil Harrison had specifically labelled WarHawk a download-only game, telling IGN that this was a "misinterpretation".

 

What we can expect according to producer Dylan Jones - speaking at GDC last week - is for WarHawk to "leverage many of the features" shown off during the PS3 Home and LittleBigPlanet online demos.

 

Quite what that means is anyone's guess. Which is why we have a comment system, obviously.

Πουθενά δεν είναι υπερβολή μια 32ρα (εκτός αν θα την έχεις στο 1 μέτρο). Και πιστεύω αξίζει παραπάνω τα λεφτά της από τις μικρότερες.

Εγώ παιδιά έχω την 55αρα sony bravia 1080p και την έχω στα 3-3,5 μέτρα και την συνήθισα και είμαι μια χαρά...

Grand Theft Auto IV set in New York?

 

A post in a forum (that has since been removed) that claimed to have insider knowledge on Grand Theft Auto IV has tipped New York as the city of choice.

 

With both the Xbox 360 and PS3 releases of Grand Theft Auto IV penned in for October this year, the PR machine is already revving its engine. We reported last month that the first ever trailer of the game will be released to the world wide web at the end of this month on March 29.

 

Will it be set in New York? The rumour apparently came from someone involved in the music soundtrack of the game, that seemed to be going for a NYC feel.

 

All eyes on March 29 people. You'll find the trailer here on CVG as soon as it goes live.

GT 5 Prologue this fall, Gran Turismo 5 spring 2008

 

Translation:

 

Today the french web site Jeux France reported that Polyphony Digital will release Gran Turismo 5 Prolouge in the fall of 2007. It will be a preview version of the game you can download through Playstation Network, where you for the first time in a GT game get to play online through the upcoming Gran Turismo Network.

 

The main game, Gran Turismo 5, is planned for release in the spring of 2008. Granted, the Gran Turismo games are infamous for usually being delayed but it's always nice to know the release dates aren't too far away.
